    Just love your videos like this! I was never a fan of his as I like bullet forehands, but damn am I soo enthralled with his genius. That hard work is paying off and that mind is tougher than steel. I’ve learned so much from studying his game and using what I can learn from him (and you) to win my first ITF masters singles titles. And I’m doing well against pros at ITF futures too even if I’m 58 years young! 🎾

    Great analysis @Jason Underneath these high level reasons what I feel really makes Djokovic great is the muscle between his ears and his understanding of his heart. I believe that Djokovic's edge is the inner mental & emotional work that he has worked on his entire career. Having observed Djokovic closely throughout his career both on and off the court is that he is the most comfortable surrendering to the moments through continuous self-awareness and acceptance. He allows and embraces whatever fears, insecurities and negative thoughts and feelings. 99% of people push down and deny "negative emotions" which ultimately hampers their ability to deal with them during periods of high stress. Novak befriends his shadows. Surrender also means that he accepts that he cannot control the outcome only what is occurring in this moment. This frees him up to be as present as possible and at this highest level is what people see as "mental toughness". That's my 2¢

    How long do you think he can stay competitive at the highest level and keep up his current range of form Jason? Also, are there any kind of analytics that can help understand where Djokovic's trajectory is going when it comes to his speed, agility and stamina? I hear people conjecture a lot about how much left Djokovic has in the gas tank so I'd be interested to see if there are any analytics that can help us make stronger long term conclusions about Novak's body. Thanks!

      Those are all excellent questions. He’s in the “concerving stage” of his career. Minimizing number of tournaments played etc. That tells me he’s trying to stretch his career as long as he possibly can. My guess is he has 2 more full years where he’s winning slams. That would make him about 38.5 years old.
      The biggest thing I look for is a players movement. When a drastic decline in explosive movement occurs your game will decline significantly. In my opinion his movement isn’t as good as it was 10 years ago but he’s hidden that with tactics/specific ball placeyin rallies. His improved forehand had also disguised it.
      At A024 I’ll be paying close attention to his movement around the court. If there is no visible decline in explosive movement he’ll win A024.
      I believe the ATP has the ability to track player movement speed, id be curious what that data says ;)

    Do you think meddy is the most difficult player to hit winners from groundstrokes cuz of his defence ability and movement.i analyse meddy is most easy player to pull off the court with angle forehand inside out and makes way for hitting winners from inside baseline because he cant reach ball from that position.thats the trick djoker used at big apple .

    • @TennisUnleashed
      @TennisUnleashed  10 месяцев назад

      I’d be curious what the analytics might say but I think you’re right. I think Daniil is probably the hardest guy to get a ball past along with Alcaraz. Daniil for his wingspan and court position like you said.

    In my view it's different reasons why he's able to keep winning
    1. His serve placement has improved a lot
    2. He plays with the mindset of cutting his unforced errors
    3. His forehand power and Backhand redirecting skills are very reliable
    4. His return of serve is great but it's to serves that have not been hit great. Nobody is capable of returning serves that are placed on the lines. He's just not facing anyone that hits Ace quality serves for some time now.
    5. His ability to focus is better than anyone . Maybe everyone else needs to be on Adderall as well!
    6. He's got a higher tennis IQ than anyone at the moment or it's a combination that most other players are kinda... not too bright? They continue to hit angles to him, allowing him to use his biggest strength which is hitting while stretched out side to side. Only person I ever saw use the deep down the middle shot to full effect of cutting down a players angles was Andy Murray

    • @TennisUnleashed
      @TennisUnleashed  10 месяцев назад +1

      Those are all really good points. His serve placement and precision to set up the one two punch on his first shot of the rally has definitely gone up multiple levels. He's looking unstoppable right now.

    Because another record in the goat's bag is the amount of victories vs top 10 players higher than any other players during open era.
    More than Connors, federer, Nadal, laver, lendl etc...

    to me he is NOT playing espectacular tennis....he just moves as necessary, after any 1st set he is OUT OF BREATH, some times cramps and if he can push for a 3rd set he will go to the bathroom and drink his MAGIC bottle, what ever is in that bottle is twice as good because 1- works 2- pases the antidoping.....To me he does not bring nothing to the game and also VERY ARROGANT.....To defeat this guy now days you have to MOVE HIM EAST to WEST and NOTH to SOUTH until gets out of breath
