    Big old Detroit Diesel letting loose, love it! The Bridge/Tunnel, they have that tunnel there so that those Big ships can get in and out, if noticed in the videos before he enters the tunnel, there is not enough height for tall ships

    It’s nice to be able to be working along side a guy that knows what he’s doing. Makes everything so much easier and less stressful. Good to see you back out there FSC pounding the boulevard. Looks good with the straight cut stacks and the height is perfect. Orwell must be fun to drive. As usual another great video. Say hi to Maggie and Dave for me. Have yourself a great and a safe day. Happy trails and happy motoring…

    Hellio ,,,Steve & Orwell welcome my home state of Virginia. Man That truck looks pretty rolling all that coal.................. Yes you are right about the the bridge over the Chesapeake Bay in which we mostly call it the the bridge that separate the Atlantic Ocean from the Bay. When ever you are going under into the Tunnel you are under water so that all kinds of ships and Submarins can enter the Bay to be repaired or in land from really bad weather out near the Atlantic Ocean. We as Subscribers of your Channel welcomes you & Orwell. Steve i'm one of your 59 years young Sub that has been bugging you to change that tamden axle tire on Orwell for years now but i guess that if it's not flat why fix it.... Stay Safe & Blessed my friend. TWO THUMBS UP AS ALWAYS.............. Shout out to the (ret) Trucker from the Va.

    So when you first get on the bridge you can see newport news ship building to far left(where all US carriers are built,and several subs) and to right is naval station norfolk with 4 carrier battle groups. Thats why some bridges are tunnels. They cant block the channel with a bridge and leave war ships stuck in port.
    Keep up the good work.

  • @bobpaulino4714
    @bobpaulino4714 Год назад +1

    They say that at low tide some of the ships going over the CBBT have only 4' to 5' of clearance.
    If you look at the boxes built in to the walls many are collapsing. Always liked the water trickling into the tunnels, too.
    Sure miss the old Seagull Pier restaurant, but can still hit Stingrays, The Great Machipongo Clam Shack', Exmore Diner, Capts Deck, etc. along 13.
    Have you considered getting a winch and incorporating a multi-point quick install/release system at multiple locations.

    The tunnel issue also is a clearance issue. Most US carriers need 250', to keep to the maximum grades for the roads, the distance needed to get the height exceeds the length of the bridge.

    If that was the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel you crossed , I crossed it in a bus at night in fog in 1965 and was scary as was two way back then. Bus driver pulled out to pass and he could not see that far ahead and barely completed the pass before pulling back in lane befroe another vehicle came at us ! I was busing home to Boston from D & S piers in Norfolk.
    How come you always nail the docking of the pin to the rest of the trailer. Never have to move it left or right. Is it like get it close and it centers itself. Also what is the actual mechanical connection. All I see are those 2 big metal things drropped with a u shapped keeper.
    Great tug test !
    You shoulda a called the new owner and tole em you had room for a pick up on top a the 14 wheeler !
