@@brodiessirenproductionsSomehow this year the sirens here in Polk County have only sounded for tests and we haven't gotten anything severe enough for sirens.
@@brodiessirenproductions Makes sense, gotta love 480 wind-ups, higher voltage with half the amperage pulled makes it alot more forgiving on the utility side.
Yeah it’s funny watching on my drone footage at the very beginning right when the siren activates, you can see all 3 or 4 dogs jump whip around and runs straight up to it lmao
@@brodiessirenproductions That is so unusual. Dogs are suppose to have more sensitive hearing than human beings and judging by the distance of how close they are, this should cause serious hearing damage.
This one sounds amazing! I even got goosebumps when the siren wounded up! Also, I don't hear any other siren in the background. I expected to hear a Modulator or Thunderbolt, because there are a lot of sirens in Moore.
It does sound pretty amazing. The reason you’re not hearing any other sirens is because I was within 100 feet of the siren, and because this one was so loud, my cameras microphone was somewhat maxed out. It was so loud to where you couldn’t hear any others, basically.
Moore has another white one located behind a grocery store. Outside of Moore, I’ve seen numerous other towns with white XT22’s. You don’t see them very often. But I agree with you, it does look pretty good.
Nice video, and good to see a new video of an operational Federal Signal 2T22. Is this the last remaining 2T22 siren in Moore, or the entire Oklahoma City metroplex? Does Moore or Goldsby still have their Thunderbolts? Shawnee replaced their 2T22 siren, but I don't know what type or model of sirens they have now. Calumet once had a Sterling siren mounted onto a water tower structure years ago.
Thanks! Moore actually still has 4 of their 2T22’s and they have no plans to replace them in the upcoming years. There’s quite a bit of 2T22’s left in the Oklahoma City area. Moore has their 4, Edmond has 2, Nicoma Park has 1, Spencer (maybe) still has 1, Deer Creek still has a few, Union City has a few, and there might be some towns I had left out. Moore and Goldsby both still have all of their Thunderbolts and all of them aren’t going anywhere soon. Shawnee did replace their 2T22’s with 508’s, the whole county actually was replaced with 508’s. There’s a few 2001’s and one T-128 on the Pottawatomie County system. And yeah, Calumet’s Sterling is still on the water tower but it’s inactive, a 2001 replaced it. It used to do noon blasts as well but the 2001 took over that
@@brodiessirenproductions Thank you for the reply with great information. I don't have any videos I made of a 2T22 yet, but have my eyes on the Oklahoma City area from what I learn from siren enthusiasts like you to give the latest and best information about vintage sirens from the 1980's and before still in use today. If I have more questions about Oklahoma City area vintage sirens in service, I would be glad to ask you again. Keep the great siren videos coming.
That was actually just my cameras microphone. The audio is from my Lumix FZ300. Shortly after this, I had purchased a Røde VideoMic which is what I use now.
Oh, I personally think that atleast FZ300 audio is decent, the sound of wind is typically really prevalent though. When I went to Moore that day, there was almost no wind and I was up against a building, blocking the remaining wind.
The original 2T22 that was here was damaged by the tornado as it went right over this area. This specific 2T22 used to be located at Tom Strouhal Little River Park on 4th Street. But since the original 2T22 at this location was damaged, Moore replaced this 2T22 with a 508, and then relocated that 2T22 to here. This is that 2T22.
Ah okay, thanks for the clarification. @@brodiessirenproductions Sorry for the delay, but that sounds loud! Thunderbolts are really loud. I wish you the best of luck with other siren videos!

Great video. Well done.
If there was ever a city that needed to make sure it's sirens are working for tornado season, it's Moore.
Thank you! And I definitely agree lol. Moore seems to be the main target for severe weather in Oklahoma. Every storm goes right to them

The siren isn’t in the backyard, but it’s right outside of the fencing.
