I experienced a newborn with bilius emesis, which ended up having Cystic Frbrosis. How often do you see this clinically?
Bilious emesis- very often. CF very rarely- often they're diagnosed after discharge from the NICU on the newborn screen. Hope your baby doing ok. Thanks for sharing!

Dear Dr.tala could tell me, if its right that the rate of pyloric stenosis are decreases?
Some collegues argue that if the babys lying on their belly, the pyloric muscle gets thicker, is that correct?
One of the reasons I love this channel! I hadn’t noticed a rate declining but you’re absolutely right- it looks like they have been declining. link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00383-020-04810-0#:~:text=The%20incidence%20of%20hypertrophic%20pyloric,to%20a%20minimum%20of%200.28.
And I’ve also never heard about tummy time increasing incidence. (You could make argument that as we’ve made a bigger effort to put kids back to sleep- they spend less time on their bellies and so that could have affected rate????). Again I’m not sure?!!! Thanks for these excellent points!!!
