Great method! 🙏🏼
@@Edenthedjguy-wedding-djs Great comment
This is an excellent tutorial brother. I appreciate you sharing the knowledge 👍
This is a very helpful instruction. Of all the Dj’s that make videos, this is by far the best via controller to spinning platters. Good job man.
I appreciate that, but I believe RUclips is full of great tutorials and lessons on DJing and mix artistry. Have you checked out Digital DJ Tips, Beat Junkies, or Carlo Attendido?
What I really like is your recommended time to practice. It really gives a glimpse into how long you need to be prepared to commit to establishing the reflex and muscle memory.
Everyone’s results will be different, but it is important to set goals!
Sending this to all the DJs in my event company - make sure everyone can do a couple of basics to bring tracks in. Makes it more engaging for the wedding gigs :P
Yeah it’s very useful for understanding jog manipulation, even if you don’t plan on using it at gigs.
Why would you want someone scratching at a wedding?
I’ve been watching and practicing anything I can get my hands on that’s actually useful, and this is excellent content man.
Thx for putting it out there. You’re a good teacher!
Fantastic video. Thank you for helping so many DJs and I focus on specific skills to practice.
These drills are great. I do them almost daily and they have been helping. Thank you Pri for your help and instruction.

Dope Vid! Boomerang Scratch Drills Please
Would love one for crabs! Thank you!
I’ll keep that in mind
Ever since I learned how to 2 click flare orbit. I lost the how to do the transformer correctly I end up defaulting to 2 click flare instead of transformer. Thank you for this video!
Top stuff - hopefully theres a playlist of these drills on your channel?
Also can you do a demonstration of scratch bank on the rev1 beat juggling
Man I love this channel! Thank u for sharing this drill! I’m currently working on my chirp, do u have any drills to help with that? This channel is awesome! I’m gonna start following u on twitch! Thanks again and keep up the great work! 🙌🏽
Thinking about doing chirps next…stay tuned, may have something for you in the coming months.
@@priyonjoni chirps are the best!
This is amazing PJ - Do you have a donation platform at all? I’d like to contribute in some way to keep this series going. Thank you nevertheless for taking the time and putting the effort. I’ve been waiting for this series.
I really appreciate the thought, but all I ask for is if you could share this video. Thanks so much for the support!
Awesome Drill. Thanks Pri yon. Any other drills you can do would be awesome. Perhaps some Chirps / Orbit ?
Noted!
I learned at from this video
Hope someone could help me. The sound of my fader is not like on the video is it more on the settings of serato ? Or the controller im using. Im using an Inpulse 300 mk2 . This is the one that I could get the soonest so I could already start. I could follow the drill . Maybe it is more on my speed on the wheel ?
Sorry for my terms. This is my 7th day djing.
Any tips for not applying so much pressure to the cross fader when trying this? That’s been my biggest issue
how did you adjust the contour on your sb3? i cant get my sound/sample to cut that sharply
It’s in the Serato settings
How do I get the ahh sample scratch on my prime 4 plus? Where do I get it from to use? Thank you I'm new to djing someone help
I donn't see the link for the sounds that you used for your scratching in this particular video. Can you direct me to the link?
When learning to scratch, how do I decide which hand is fader hand and which is platter hand?
Can you please do one on the rev1
i keep struggling with multiple taps on the fader hand. going to keep practicing
Keep working at it. Start slow. You have to build the muscle in your hand.
Thnx for the video sir.....Everyone wants to know how to scratch, but how about knowing when to scratch and over what kind of tracks and genres?....It would mean a lot if you do that video.
That’s a good idea. I’ll note that down
Which fingers to used to scratch
Can i find out where i can down load the scratches track that you use in the demo of Scratch Drill for Beginners - Transformer Drills😀
When scratching how much pressure should be behind your thumb on the the fader?
From what I've tried, you should be able to move the crossfader back to the side it was at after you push it with your index, middle, or ring finger. Think of your thumb as a spring and the fader as a button that your pressing finger hits.
Could we get faster bpm transforming drills
Is there any reason for jogger hand forward and backwards movements between
the actual scratching? I see a lot of djs doing those before starting to scratch..
Is a habit from a turntable or is there any value in that?
Good stuff, Thanks
It’s a warm up or a wind up move
@@priyonjoni ok thanks
How do you know the scratch parameters?
why you set your cue inside the sample not on the begining of the sample ?
the reason is for an entirely different technique when I do Gate Cue Scratching. ruclips.net/video/F4g08FvDGig/видео.html
That was perfect I have a Rane One what should my fader setting should be on.
the one that looks like a picnic table.
As he mentioned in the video it should be in the sharp position
Yup, simply set it to sharp. Your controls I believe are in front of the controller facing you.
where did you order your controller knobs?
They are the factory ones that came with the silver edition.
not seeing the pinned comment with the scratch beats and scratch sound
thanks found it by browsing... through the comments.....
🛑🛑 Hi! Hoping that someone help me. I have Mixtrack Pro 3 and trying to prctice sratching but the problem is when I'm scrathing, it's not crisp as djs do. Is there any tip or any settings that I need to change for me to be able to do the same sound? PLEASE HELPP! 🛑🛑🛑
It’s all in practice. But just to make sure, is your crossfader set to sharp?
no links for samples
Apart from absolutely invasive, obtrusive, disgusting, obnoxious adverts that kept interrupting....this is actually a really good vid! It does a great job of breaking up the techniques. Shame it was ruined by profiteering corporations.
9.50 min u did one scratch what name of that sir
I am not finding the links?
We need more video like this. Or you can send me videos this so that I can have different way to practice. Thank DJFleetwood
I love it but please i need it very slow because am a beginner
