An almost forgotten classic. I hope this song makes it onto the debut full length album. It could even be extended with a nice breakdown and guitar solos and another verse. It could be a Prog classic
I know they have management. I wonder why there's been no attempt at a full Lp/Cd of their collected songs. I know road travel is expensive and they're just beginning to earn money. I wonder if a GoFundMe account would be supported by fans? I've given money to two artists to help them record albums. It'd work here, too, I think.
@@lightsone2they’ve posted that they are working on an album now. I would support a Go Fund Me as well but it seems they are doing it on their own. I hope they print enough copies and it does not go out of stock like most of their singles and eps. They did a reporting of Glory Glory vinyl
I thought they dropped this from their set because it was a studio creation that was too hard for a trio to pull off live. This disproves that. It's a fantastic song.
Love it. They are so good. Thanks for posting. Seeing it live made me go back and listen to the official video as I originally thought Orlaith sang lead on this song. In the official video it looked like Orlaith sang but now that I listen to it more closely, I was wrong. Both have such great voices.
@@motoxbuddy Mollie sang lead on both. I am used to both singing lead on different songs or both together. I guess Mollie does more leads on originals. Orlaiith sings lead on Nobody’s Child, but I guess Mollie does most of the originals.
Good find . One of the few live renditions on RUclips . This is actually one of my favourite songs from them and it's an early one . Just goes to show how natural their songwriting abilities are . It was there right from the early days . Apparently they had written many songs before this separately , certainly Mollie had , as she was entering song writing contests from her early teens . I wish they would perform this song more often in their sets. I know it's one of their favourites too .
Very very difficult decision to be made. Mamie's improvement was phenomenal from when she started. I always had the impression that she is a very intelligent girl who has made a wise decision to attend university. The music business requires an awful lot of luck as well as exceptional talent. The girls have got what it takes to become very successful artists but where were they last night at the Brits. They are every bit as good as many of these so called top acts but where are their rewards? Will someone in the industry please help these girls get the publicity and rewards that they deserve.
Be careful what you wish for. The standard Music Industry business model is basically Loan Sharking. Staying Independent may be the best outcome that they can get.
No, keep the industry AWAY from these girls. The industry will destroy them and their souls. They don't need to sell their souls to satan to be successful. The industry will destroy them. They need to stay independent and do things their way, not the way a record company tells them.
So sad to hear of Mamie's impending departure but I guess this is the time for the decision to be made whether to go onto University or devote her life to music . She will be very much missed but I'm sure the band still has a good future ahead of it .
@@groover5524 Yes, I am sure it was a difficult decision but I am sure it was well thought out. She will be successful and Mollie and Orlaith will be fine. I suspect they already have a plan.
Whilst I'm sure any replacement drummer will work fine , it fundamentally changes the nature of the band . No longer an all girl family based band which is a nice little niche they ( along with a few others ) created for themselves . I doubt they'll go back to being just a duo , but you never know .
@@groover5524 Yes, they won’t be a family band unless they have other musical siblings we don’t know about. I thought I say that Orlaith had a sister just turning 18. They my find a female drummer but I’ve heard them say they would not be opposed to male members like Fleetwood Mac.
Well like most Irish families there are many McGinn siblings all young ladies I believe . Mollie being the oldest and another not much younger than Mollie . Mamie being the third oldest . How many are following the family business of music I do not know . The chances of finding a good female drummer locally are very small . They had advertised before but couldn't find anyone and so Mamie became involved . So if they continue as a three piece ( which I hope they do ) then it's overwhelmingly likely to be a male drummer which is fine but it does change the nature of the band . I was looking forward to see Mamie's development as a drummer and I of course wish her well in whatever she chooses to do in the future .
I do like this song. I'm still working on the lyrics, but that's not important. I was just listening to the harmony again. Tight. They write good material.
A classic three piece ( a la Cream ) for the era and music that inspires them . A setup that lets the vocal ability and musicianship of a band really shine . I think they're more than happy with their manager / promoter . Let's them get on with it . This is a life's work not a quick grasp at stardom . These ladies intend to be around for a very very long time !
Какие красивые и талантливые девчонки! Глаз не оторвать, смотришь и любуешься ими❤❤❤
Those three young women are so talented, they are incredible.
Sympathetic drummers who play for the song are so rare. Mamie is part of the magic. You can't let her go.

Wow. That is amazing!
Its sad really cause younger sister i saw and heard could sing too. I hope she comes back!
Don't think I've ever seen this performance of Siren Song before. Brilliant!
Many thanks for this recording surfacing almost three years after it was recorded. 👍👍👍👍

Molly isn't much of a solo singer, too thin voice.
But Orlaith and Molly together sound almost like three, perfect match.
@@acajutla I don't totally agree. Molly shines on her covers of You're So Vain and Love Me Like a Man to name a couple of outstanding examples.
