  • The HBM bf 28 identical to the precision Mathews PM-25MV milling machine.
In this Video I show you my CNC conversion of this machine and how it is used to mill a little column for an outright light socket.
    I use a 6mm carbide cutter with 4 flutes
    Feed and speed:
Z -0.5mm increments, Immersion angle 40 degrees, immersion speed 50mm/min
    X, Y - 400mm/min
Spindle speed 2880 rpm (this is the maximum speed of the machine)

Yes, I´m in the process of doing so. At the moment I´m trying to do something in spanish, but I think of doing a video in english as well. Thank you very much for your feedback.

What steppers and drivers did you use in the bf28?

Thank you very much for your encouraging and motivating comment! Really appreciate that! I used Nema 34 4,5 Nm stepper motors for the x- and the y- axis. For the z-axis 8,5 Nm. I used HB860H 2-phase Hybrid Servo Drivers.
