I made a playlist of 180 bpm songs and all i gotta do is keep up with the beat. after about 2 months of practicing, 180 is automatic. I tend to stick around 180-185 easy, and upwards of 190 at threshold/interval pace. The shin splints I had last season have disappeared and I'm doing 50% more milage and going much much faster.
This is super interesting. Whenever I’ve been trying to do my Cardiac Output runs my heart rate would shoot up and I’d try running ridiculously slow to get it down (basically walking with a running style). I’ll give this a crack to get more speed for the same heart rate 💪🏻
Ive hardly ever run on threadmill in my life as ive heard they are bad for you but due to change in location i recently joined a gym for s&c and used a threadmill this morning after years. I was just thinking how interesting it was that being on a threadmill naturally forced me to have that faster BPM even at a lower pace and same HR than jogging outside when you have to "estimate/control" your own stride, and coincidentally you released this at night, haha!
Interesting! Yes, the length of the treadmill deck can (even psychologically) reduce your stride length and help reduce over-striding. 🤔 I’m also a fan of outdoor running whenever possible. I just prefer a change of scenery. Treadmills are very handy for fitness testing though!
Yeah, and especially the fact if you dont put your foot down quick enough on the deck, you mess up your timing on the belt! Initially i was thinking my HR was so much lower because i was running indoors for the first time where its much cooler.. it was a good 10bpm less than the same pace i normally jog outside, but your video explains alot! There may have been more to it than just lower temperature haha
Really they're bad? I started using treadmill a month ago and it builds my cardio a lot, I feel it in sparring. I like to run on max inclined for as long as I can
He’s not over striding (until he dips for the line in his final stride)… If you look closely you see his foot strikes only a little in front of his centre of mass as he pulls his foot back underneath him. No breaking action. Compare that to guy running on the concrete path beside the lake. 😅
@@mjdutsar Yes, good point. Sprinting is a faster step per minute rate than general running - which was what I’m really speaking about. The sprint example was intended as an extreme example of the difference between acceleration mechanics and top speed mechanics when running. 👍
4:41 this is my exact experience! I've always found it easier to run faster than slower weirdly, it must be because of this
🙌👊

Great idea! Boss level playlisting 😅👌
Get the drum and bass in lol

Let me know how it goes!

@@hugoheros4928 No, they’re not bad. Just different!
It's interesting though You look at Usain Bolt and seems he's taking long strides... or am I mistaken?

sprinting cadence is close to 250 spm

don i love your content , quick question , what is the best pace for 8 to 9 km to stick with ?
I’m afraid I can’t give you a meaningful answer as it depends on an individual’s fitness and running efficiency.
@@heatrick i understand, i usually go 5:30, 5:56 per kilo for 8 to 9 kilos how do you see it? I appreciate your answer Mr. Don
