Paint a Drain Campaign

The St. Bernard Parish Department of Public Works is starting a Paint a Drain Campaign. Paint a Drain is designed to raise awareness and get groups or individuals involved in helping solve the problem of litter and chemicals that end up in our storm sewer system and are then pumped into the marsh areas around St. Bernard untreated. This pollution is helping to ruin a beautiful parts of our parish that we rely on for protection from hurricanes. Groups or individuals can use our premade stencils to paint messages like "Trash in the Streets Pollutes What We Eat" , "Only Rain Down the Drain", and "No Dumping Drains to the Wetlands". The Parish will provide the stencil, paint, and everything needed to complete the project.
