Well if you look at it from his perspective, yes he knew he has done lots of evil things. But the thing about Sasori was he had this emptiness inside him, its like this void he could never fill. He tried his best to live with it, but he could never find that thing that could make him happy. So I agree with you aswel, even I couldn't hate him.
