heavvy eyes unless they release it as a free-to-download project, theres no monetary gain from it so therefore no worries regarding sample clearances and lawsuits 🤷🏽♂️
I remember 2010-2012 i was on soundclick religiously writing to cardo, sledgren, johnny juliano, and idlabs beats from like 7am to 3pm like a full time fuckin job...it helped me perfect my writing and the way i deliver in my music. i owe alot to those guys
problem is tht allot of them old school players would speed up and slow down so you have to really know how to chop to get that shit on but when you a drag and drop era mfka you don't learn how to do that.
This guy is from my hometown, and has made a lot of the beats to my favorite bodies of work, mixtapes, albums, singles, it makes me feel like I could amount to anything if Cardo did it, huge inspiration to the city
Mass Appeal 😂😂😂 i died when he start Boogie to the woman's song with disco beat!! does cardo having booking information for artist?? Email or something?? bcuz I'll need that A.S.A.P! 😁💯
Guy does the smoothest beats ever heard every damn time. Always throws that steel drum sound on his beats which im a sucker for. Hope he does somethin wit Curren$y and Wiz again soon
Been on a Cardo journey over the last 24 hours and stumbled across this. Not sure how I missed it back in the day, but from a producer/beat makers point of view what he actually did here was genius! Salute!
Liked before I even saw it. My fav producer since way back with Wiz. Homie has really elevated now and I continue to be inspired. Thank you Mass Appeal!
Cardo produced God's Plan for Drake, who's name is Aubrey Graham. This comes full circle. Drake's Uncle is a famous bassist named Larry Graham who was friends with Prince back in the day and founded a funk group called, "Graham Central Station," and Cardo just came across their vinyl. not-coincidentally, this is God's Plan
I Fell in Love with Cardo as a producer when i heard Wiz Khalifa - Mesmorized Then i heard Dave East - Slow down and i was sold. Cardo has a way of infusing some dark and haunting elements into some Urban beat.
Yo this is a dope ass show. The fans of these dope beats get to see the masterminds behind them. Man I'm literally finding my love for music again watching these amazing brothas do they thing. Amazing for the culture.
I dig it. Chopping smaller parts of a sample gives you more control of it in any sampler, FL, ProTool, MPC, Maschine, ect. It'll be on time much more and you can manipulate the sample even more so thru FX work.
Cardo is a beast. From Seen It All by Jeezy, to 100 by The Game, to Every Season by Cousin Stizz, to God's Plan by Drake and so much more he just kills everything he does and been doing so since 2011.
that's crazy! especially considering during the episode he gets the call that he's going to be number 1 on billboard for producing drake's new record "god's plan."
Larry Graham is a musical genius. Kinda suprised Cardo didn't know him. Dude was the bassist for Sly and the Family Stone, and did Graham Central Station ish for a minute.
Mass appeal should really release a beat tape with all the beats the producers made on rythme roulette
boombox boy Lol sample clearances?
wmcroy3306 yeah, after they get cleared
boombox boy cost bread bruh lol
they don't have enough money to clear the samples. shit is stupid expensive.
heavvy eyes unless they release it as a free-to-download project, theres no monetary gain from it so therefore no worries regarding sample clearances and lawsuits 🤷🏽♂️
Yeeeees my favourite producer since 2011. Him and Harry Fraud
tonyk174 same here famo

Cardo makes some of the waviest beats out. That work he did with Payroll on Big Bossin Vol. 2 is RIDICULOUS!
Luke James your vids are always dope man!
The beats on that project is immaculate

Big facts no cap
You should hear what he doing this year
Cardo's beats are so fire. I miss his old days with Wiz. Might be worth making a new video on
TKW Presents his new shit is way better. Listen

TKW Presents production on big bossin 2 lowkey 🔥🔥 tho
Stephon Foster I’m checking it out - good looks
BeHaze28g I wouldn't say that, but he has stayed consistent.
I remember 2010-2012 i was on soundclick religiously writing to cardo, sledgren, johnny juliano, and idlabs beats from like 7am to 3pm like a full time fuckin job...it helped me perfect my writing and the way i deliver in my music. i owe alot to those guys
BlackK GMS likewise man. Help me become better with writing, and also inspired me to become a producer myself.
Great choice of producers right there!
"Quatanize"

I laughed too hard at this
Neil Taylor Kinda like quantize with a twang
i was about to leave this comment, then i read the comments lol
problem is tht allot of them old school players would speed up and slow down so you have to really know how to chop to get that shit on but when you a drag and drop era mfka you don't learn how to do that.
yall gotta get sledgren too

Mass Appeal thanks for filming this at The Cutting Room Studios. I used to work there back in 2012 for a few months, great memories.
he skipped over so many great samples. doubt he'll revisit. he just went with what was safe.
Official NVSVmusic
Cardo barely samples. So it's tough to adjust, making beats.
AarabMuzik the same way.
mikedabeast360 I guess. And arabmuzik sampled from CDs. Thought that was cool
Cardo barely samples? whaaaaa?
mikedabeast360 what?? Cardo samples all the time. You're crazy
i never thought of this take!
Cardo always got heat on deck.
Yall gotta get Johnny Juliano next!
Lontenotes I agree, Johnny Juliano definitely deserves an episode. I could only imagine the type of insanity he would create.
it wouldnt even be fair jj goes to hard
i dont think johnny would be satisfied with a quick beat like that.
he perfects his shit! but what do i know...
Bruhhhh... he'd kill it
Lontenotes definitely
shout out to Cardo for coming thru and making some 🔥🔥🔥

My name is MercLyfe_B and I approve this comment
beat was hot but with a Con Funk Shun record AND a Graham Central Station record he could’ve done WAAAY better.

Especially with the Graham Central Station joint. They are dope! Alot of gems with their albums.
My thoughts exactly. I was not impressed with this video at all.

"Time is 9:11, how convenient" lmfao this dudes hilarious.
Little hand on the 9 big hand on the 11 is not 9:11 LOL
lmao.
He tried to save it with "or close to it" 😅
ya'll should do a series where you give two producers a 30 second sample and see how each of them flip it
I Fell in Love with Cardo as a producer when i heard Wiz Khalifa - Mesmorized
Then i heard Dave East - Slow down and i was sold.
Cardo has a way of infusing some dark and haunting elements into some Urban beat.

Before that because he was instrumental in Kush & OJ too. That was 2009 or’10
Mezmorized and Never been
"Release Yourself" was referenced by (and sampled by) Charles Hamilton for his Pink Lavalamp mixtape... he mentions in on the Intro track IIRC
CARDOOOOO

Wow!That's amazing!Congrats to that brother!!
Great find fellas.
Larry Graham is a musical genius. Kinda suprised Cardo didn't know him. Dude was the bassist for Sly and the Family Stone, and did Graham Central Station ish for a minute.

And that there my friend is the reason he’s where he is and who is is and you who you are. Get it? No offense
@@riccoonthebeat I have more views than you lol but okay
@@hijoseph100you been on here for 13 years give it up 😂😂😂
Cardo & Sledro created that " Kush & OJ " Sound 💯💯🤙
This man said they didn't quantize in the 70s lmao
Aidan Connolly lol
What was he trying to say?!?
J Glad basically: 70's had live instrumentation, THERE WAS NO QUANTIZE IN EFFECT!
Yeah I think they were on Ableton version 5 or 6 back then
it dont sound right until it has that live swing
what is the song/sample in the beginning of the video?
*EDIT* sample: Curren$y - "Showroom 2" | OG Sample: Laboratorium - "I'm sorry, I'm not driver"
@@stakkzz ty
This dude has clearly never read an actual clock. "The time is 9:11 or close to it." 8:55 my dude. The 11 doesn't mean 11 minutes.
Joe Lash he high asf chill lol
and he still has more bread than you.. imagine that
Joe nobody cares about all that man we came for beats
@@leaferikson1846 I'd imagine a lot of people do. I bet they can read a clock too.
Joe Lash ur such a nerd lol
Cardo been on fire last year and so far this year for real!
"They didn't quantitize in the 70's"... That's cause they used instrumentation lmao, not robotics...
Yooooooo.! About Time Y’all Got Cardo On Here.
That France Joli record tho.
Fav producer hands down. Along with DJ Fresh x3, Sean House, Dam Funk, and Polyboy, PolyesterTS
So this Drake's secret weapon oh boy he about to be another forgotten producer in OVOs sweatshop 🤕🤦😂
Celtics fan #MambaOut RIP A True Legend clever
finally a new roulette!! I was missing it so much!!!
I wish I was high enough too understand what's going on with this cover.
Mezmorized by wiz is probably one of his best. So is from the west side with love II
This has curren$y written all over it!
