Please send me a video (or audio) recording of you playing along! If I receive five or more submissions, I'll make a compound video of all submissions! (Tip: Use headphones when playing the video to separate the audio from your own paying.)

Is it too late the participate? I realise I'm almost a year and a half late to the party :)

@@jesgot Thanks for asking, but, yes, that’s too late now. (I didn’t get may responses, unfortunately.)

Thank you, great practice video. I love them when a practice piece keeps repeating with little or no talking. I can put it on and practice along with it.

You're very welcome! That's exactly the idea with the video. Just use it as study material! 🙂

@@shakuhachijo5510 Sorry, I’m a bit old-school when it comes to sharing my email address via the web. You can find it on my RUclips ‘About' page or on my homepage. Sorry about the extra hassle and looking forward to your video!

What does the (1.8) number mean? I even saw 2.4 on the internet.

1.8 is short for 1尺8寸. This is the length of the shakuhachi: 1 shaku (尺) and 8 sun (寸). A shaku is ca 30 cm, a sun ca 3 cm. Analogous for 2.4. 🙂
