Hi, It is now 2020 and I have this camera for about 3 years. Yet my menu only shows Recording of 1080p/ 30FPs. Other people's cameras also show Menu with the 1080p/60 FPs? Why can't I see the 60FPs on my menu? Is it because my SD card is slow? My model is HDR-AS50 (no "R"), but other people with same models have the /60FPs option. How can I get this on my menu..? Any ideas? Thanks Michael.
Sound quality when using the camera outside of the housing is quite good. Better than the GoPro Heros I'd say. However, if camera is kept in the housing, you won't pick up very much. In that regard, GoPro Hero is a bit better. but for my uses, I still prefer the Sony nowadays.
I consider this to be my gadget to record playing guitar based on your review. but you said if kept in the housing I won't pick up very much. based on this comment, u think it is the right move for my use to buy this item?
For your application, you certainly wouldn't need the casing. I use it because I'm outdoors in a lot of bad conditions. However, you might want to also check out the GoPro Session camera, due to its form factor. It's even more discrete.
