Sephardic Jewish wedding song from Rhodes, Greece, sung by Laura Shannon, with Kostantis Kourmadias and Nikolas Angelopoulos, on the 'Limani' CD of Greek traditional music, available from www.laurashannon.net.
We learned the song from Savina Yiannatou. In our version, the verses have a slightly different order. The accompanying women's dance is called Hora la Galana.
