What immediately comes to mind for comparison here is the Scarabus 10. Hunter Laing secret Islay bottling.
Scarabus 10 is just Islay and very peated - this is totally different with hardly any peat
I have access to an NAS Lum Reek. It's over $60US. Now I know why Billy Walker's signature is on the bottle. Thank you Jason.
I don't really have time or space to explore blended malts, so I thank you for this also.
Do you get any Barrell Bourbon products over there? If you ever get a chance, the Vatted Malt is a tremendous American blend. Some of the contributing producers use smoked barley, but the blend is not overtly smokey.
Barrell Bourbon does not yet export to the EU :-(
I have only reviewed this one bottle in English

I guess that Lum Reek tastes better than Leek Rum.
what is Leek Rum?
I have a bottle of the original McNair's 12 year Yum Freak. :). I wonder if the new version is different than the original.....I kind of like the new packaging but the old one is quite creative and artistic......Slainte Jason.
the old packaging is better :-)
