Here, in U.S., the woman has the choice to take husband's surname or not but I've never seen a woman gets that upset like Michaela when called by Mrs. (husband's surname). Japan, a neighboring country, follows her husband's surname like the United States when she gets married. Koreans cannot understand such a culture. Because men and women are equal beings. Rather, when naming a baby in Korea, So many opinions that it should be abolished because it is unfair to follow father surmane. so many korean women's are opinions that if you want, possible using mother's last name.
Here in the U.K., back in the olden days- (and by that, I mean back in me mum and dad's day, and definitely in me nan and grandad's day), Micaela would have almost certainly been known as 'Missus Lee', as opposed to 'Miss.... (and her maiden surname), after y'all married. However, nowadays, with the advent of feminism, that's all changing, and a lot of women nowadays, choose to stay as 'Miss.... (and their maiden surname), or abbreviate their title to 'Ms', along with the surname of their choice. Nowadays, I've even known cases of the bloke taking his wife's surname, as indeed, I wanna, when my girlfriend and I get married- (whenever that day comes to pass), so I'll become 'Mister.... (my wife's surname)', the day that she and I get married, thus, breaking a bloody age-old tradition and turning it arse-about-face.

Where i come from in Portugal women don’t really take their husbands name and a lot of women do get upset when called by their husbands name.
