First leg of new Sydney Sprint Series at Royal Randwick

Today’s City Tattersalls Club Cup Day at Royal Randwick Racecourse will feature the new Sportsbet Sydney Sprint Series.
Racing NSW’s Nick Berney says the series is a great new initiative by Racing NSW and sponsored by Sportsbet, with a bonus of $6 million.
“It’s six feature sprint races over the Spring Carnival,” he told Sky News Australia.
“Each of the horses will be allocated points relative to their finishing position.
“And by the final event, the horse with the most points will be crowned the winner and another share of great prize money.”
