I miss the days when your save data was either *on the cartridge* or on a memory card, now it’s saved to your console so if your console craps out your save data is all gone. Being a Pokéfan has sucked since the Switch Era began because Nintendo thinks allowing cloud backups would “encourage cheating” yet other games have worked out how to avoid it 😒😒😒

While I missed the SNES Vs Genesis and PS1 Vs N64; the former was what I consider the greatest generation of gaming with the latter being second. I also miss how things were in the 2000's with the Wii and DS, or even PS2/Gamecube/Xbox. The DS had so many awesome features at the time and was the golden age of monster training games; especially with DS download play. No one likes having to pay overpriced Micro transitions just for skins as opposed to unlocking all those things via doing challenges or achievements similar to the classic Super Smash Bros games. Especially if Micro transitions just for a one piece skin costs more than certain Indie game titles that I ironically consider more fun to play than most modern FPS games.
While Nintendo Switch is a step in the direction to still have such high quality titles left and right, it still cannot be denied they also have some of the same issues that other modern platforms do. Especially Joycon Drift or being over reliant on needing to redownload cloud data.

The thing I miss about the 2000s was when retro games and consoles like NES, SNES and Gameboy was really cheap and widely available on Ebay. Much easier to find and get one's hands on both specific titles and some games you just get curious about than in the 90s, much cheaper than today. And I also used to find new games much cheaper than in the store just one day after or on release day. Just a few days more wait and a few tens of dollars off.

Video game shopping during the 2000s for me was like walking into a candy store. There was SO many things to choose from between the well known hit games and others that maybe you hadn't heard of but decided to try for the heck of it. Games were finished products for the most part and didn't need updating to play it. That time felt so innocent. There will never be an era like that again.

What a time to witness it all! Wii Sports was worth owning, especially if you have the Wii Sports Bundle! Thank you Reggie for giving Nintendo an incredible innovative idea (from his book Disrupting The Game). Kids today won't understand the experiences within the Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, etc.

Top 10 trends and traits in 90’s cartoons.
These are the things you’d likely see if you’re watching a random cartoon series from the 90’s:
-environmental awareness. I don’t recall a cartoon that didn’t preach the importance of preventing deforestation or that pollution was bad.
-high quality pilot, low quality season. The first 1-2, maybe 3 episodes to pitch the series often show what the studios can do, but more often than not when they get the green light, they have to pace themselves for the rest of the season so quality dips.
-Anthropomorphic team with a human partner. TMNT-mania was full swing in the 90’s, and it had a lot of copycats.
    -“Extreme” shows.

The biggest ones here are peripherals, motion controls, and midnight releases. Literally everyone had a Wii, even ppl that in no way would call themselves gamers. Back in the 2000's 9 times out of 10 we would get a complete game that wouldn't need a day one patch if a game was buggy and unplayable it was the exception not the rule. We didn't need to wait an hour to instal a game we could just put a disc in and play the game and they were actually worth our time & money. We also didn't need to worry about our games suddenly being taken away at random because a company decided they could. We could also unlock additional features like extra skins just buy reaching certain objectives in the game. These days games are buggy and overpriced and 9 times out of 10 aren't worth the time or money, are almost slowly going all digital and can be ripped away at any moment and are becoming more like interactive movie's.
