I may be wrong but that locomotive boiler on the second flatcar belongs to locomotive #11 which is a locomotive replica they are building which will represent engine #7
+pittsburgh railfan Perhaps this Limey can help. No.9 (alas there is only one survivor) is indeed a Forney being one of the celebrated "Portland Forneys" made by the Portland Company in the Maine city of that name. This video gives some idea of why they had the reputation they did but then she has just had probably her best general overhaul since the eighteen nineties!
Nice video both visually and acoustically. It is very difficult to get any locomotive equipped with Stephenson valve gear and with short eccentric rods as No. 9 is bound to have to be as "on the beat" as she is. To an Englishman who dislikes chime whistles this is the best U.S. loco. whistle he has heard.
Absolutely magic!
Really great stuff Tyler! Loved it!
Nice shots! Thanks for posting this video!
Always carry a spare boiler along. Just in case. Smart.
Amazing footage!
+Mass Coastal Rail Videos Thanks!
Excellent video!

Thats #9's old boiler.
Yeah I found that out a few minutes after posting that comment but thanks anyway but expect #11 to be finished in a few years
I'd love to see their line go a bit further, they've a beautiful route.
Chip in a few bucks.
Wow. Almost looks like a professional documentary. Neat little engines. Are they Forneys?
