    as a syrian citizen who lives in syria, i see ppl in the comments saying that this is bad and it will get worse and that bashar was a good president then bro let me traumatize u guys a little bit, go search up the saydnaya prison. or here we call it the human slaughterhouse because this one prison will tell u one of the things about bashar , other than him being a criminal he stole his own ppl and he unalived everyone who said one bad thing about him.
    and about prisons also, we have more prisons here than schools and colleges combined and they are all underground. bashar also was allowing and supporting drug dealers here in syria, 80% of cabtagon in the world were produced here + some other kinds of drugs.

    So HTS is considered a terrorist organisation by Turkey (3:28) but as a result of HTS's success taking most of Syria and ousting Assad "Turkey seems to be the winner in all of this" (5:17). What exactly is the relationship between Turkey and the HTS then?

    • @ffymg
      @ffymg 14 дней назад +48

      To put it into simple terms, let’s just say both parties are not very fond of the idea of Kurds gaining some land. Turkey also wants a demilitarized buffer zone across the border. As long as SDF doesn’t expand their territory, Turkey seems to be getting what they want no matter who else comes to power.

    • @ahmetdagdelen6180
      @ahmetdagdelen6180 14 дней назад

      Turkey is not a winner. This is a warning to the globe something like '' Ok western buddies we get what we want in Syria over turkish help for the Jihadists. (Because Geograpickly Turkey is feeding them ) But be careful We need SDF ( kurds) So don't let Erdogan to take an advance on the ground'' This is the Massage. Turkey won Nothing. Isreal and USA won

    • @oran7260
      @oran7260 14 дней назад +13

      Turkiye considers HTS a terrorist group but also wants to send back the 3 million official and a couple million more unofficial Syrian immigrants back to their country. A lot of them already started heading back as the reason they left in the first place was Assad’s tyranny. Also it is in Turkiye’s best interest to maintain the status quo with the Kurds, thus they use the SNA rebels (HTS ally) to make sure the Kurda can’t form an official state in Syria.

      This video creates more question than explaining them. It has a lot sided information and for some no information at all. We are so often critical of other cultures without first listening to the sons and daughters of the land . They know , they know . They seem happy and hopeful. Why should they have this super insight? Many people in Iraq were euphoric by Saddam going down, the same thing for Libya and Gaddafi.
      I live in Israel, but I can tell you very little about what is going on, beyond what we get in the news, and international reporting. The only major differences are, that I get the local media, get to speak to other Israelis who are also clueless, and know more about the history than the average person, because I took the time and effort to learn.

    Imagine something worse than Hezbollah (Still with the same aim to establish an Islamic caliphate in the complete region and beoynd), taking over a whole country together with other pro Islamic groups, backed by Turkey (biggest army budget in Nato, and producers and sellers of their own drones copeting with the US drones), and then Turkias self-established enemy that they have made genocides of since the Ottoman empire, and murdered in high numbers along with Iraqs Sadam Hussein, the Kurdish forces (fighting to establish a homeland Government for the 70 million Kurds in the region without their own country that are backed by the US. So the question is where does UN stand since many UN politicians are `backed´ by a Qatar agenda, that we saw play out when the UN the last 1,5 year focused all their malicious means at Israel with many lies and complicit doings in warfare against Israel as for instance seen in Lebanon, and the UNs lack of help freeing hostages innocent people including a baby from captivity in Gaza. And then the Genocide many many people in Nigeria backed by Qatar on one side and Saudis in the other, while the UN neclects victims completely in a race to diminish the state of Israel, while millions in Africa is suffering non-selfinflicted harm. .. !?

    The ongoing conflict between Turkish forces and Kurdish groups in Syria can be characterized as a systematic campaign that raises serious concerns of ethnic cleansing and racial discrimination. This situation necessitates urgent attention from the international community to address the humanitarian crisis and uphold principles of self-determination. Given the historical marginalization of the Kurdish population, estimated at around 75 million globally, the establishment of an independent Kurdish state could serve as a viable solution to ensure their cultural, political, and territorial rights are respected.

To respectfully reiterate, when you are dealing with an amalgamated jihadist organization that OPENLY DECLARES: "Today Damascus, tomorrow Jerusalem!"; that DOES NOT portend a bright future for Syria, no matter how finely you want to split hairs. Read up on what's in store for Syria in Psalm 83. The prophetic irony is, as far as any potential comparison goes, Afghanistan may actually end up faring better than Syria. The Psalm 83 War scenario is coming together at a frighteningly rapid pace. Look how the nations involved are now nice and cozy together. All we have to do is sit back, watch, and wait a bit longer.

      How can you even mention Netanyahu in the same breath as Assad, a man who literally killed millions of innocent people and used illegal chemical weapons on protesters?

    If you're mentioning that HTS used to be Al Qaeda, you're out to mention that SDF used to be an off shoot of PKK in Syria

    "unfortunately" she says. lol. of course Turkiye won't let a terrorist kurdish state right on its southern border. Plus did kurds really think that syrian arabs would allow them to keep ALMOST HALF of the country as well as the entire oil production while kurds only account for 4-7 percent of the population? it is about time someone glues syria together. That someone is Turkiye. Whether you like it or not

    Great reporting. Natasha Hall is knowledgeable and articulated. Sadly for Syrians it's further instability and hardship but hopefully the beginning of rebuilding the nation and country. We're back in 2011 and delayed Arab Spring for Syrians. I fear another Lybia or Iraq

    Welcome to the comment section where non-Syrians are apparently better experts on Syria than actual Syrians living in Syria.

    The reason that Iran had this close ties with Sryia Assad regime was not because of Shia crescent originally! Back in 80’s when Saddam attack Iran Hafez Assad helped Iranian to weaken Saddam position and that was the start of the relationship that end up last week.

    I'm not an Arab or from Middle East, but I want Syria to be a peaceful democratic country where leaders are chosen by the people. But I don't think any of these groups want to lose the leadership position. May they find solutions and be united.
    I learned history and heard that Damsyik is a beautiful place with knowledge once upon a time. It would be great if it comes back to its root, a place to exchange great knowledge. Turkey's south area would get a win over this situation, too, once Syria became peaceful. No more large budget military to protect the country, and they can help each other in improving something more important.
    I hope Israel and the USA are not planning anything stupid like stealing lands from Syria later. The situation is already worse than it is. Stop causing any more problems in the Middle East.
