I didn't like the narrator's high tilt at the end of each sentence - it sounded so insincere and was purely like a fictional story telling, which it certainly was not.
The narrator voice is too breathlessly excited for true crime content. It sounds like he's spilling the tea about the Real Housewives. If it said, "Then Jerrica ruined a perfectly good Chanel top and wasted a glass of 2005 Billecart-Salmon Cuvée" it would be the right voice. But not for a man murdering his wife and trying to pin it on his kid. Like @HannadayFLO says, that high lilt sounds insincere.

I don't understand why the detective felt the need to tell the daughter all that. Typically, those are things a guardian, whoever that was at that time, would explain to the child at the right time.
