I knew who Kelly was, but didn't listen to her music until she started doing the from home Kellyokes during lockdown. I then started watching reactions to her music and have really gained an appreciation for her amazing vocals.

I thought she did this song very well. I'm not familiar with the original, but I loved listening to her sing it. To me, this didn't have the emotional impact of her cover of Used To Be Young. I've listened to that one over, and over, and over. Love your appreciation of Kelly's music.
This was perfect and a lot of people pointed out it had a really late '90s early 2000s r&b sound. And it was a way different arrangement than the original and I hate to say this because she's covering other people's songs that she does it with respect but some people are subpar to her. There's a few that really really talented vocalist did and she covers and it's still perfect like Whitney Houston the other day. But certain people's songs she just creates her own song and it's unbelievable and you're right she takes herself out of that head high soprano voice and slides right back into chest voice without any effort at all. As she's gotten older her control her breathing and of course her range have grown and grown and grown a lot of artists are complacent and don't keep working and Kelly has said multiple times I'm a vocalist it is my job to cultivate and continue to learn. And dang it has she. And as always giving major props to Jessi, The chorus were harmonize holy crap so good. And there's been songs where they're singing the chores together Kelly slips away to hit high notes and Jesse keeps singing and you don't even notice. In my humble opinion as a singer she's probably the most talented female singer right now and of the last 20 years
