    I knew that a lot of this had to have taken a tooooon of work and then I was like wow a 18 minute video what are they gonna show step by step on how they did it , and now after watching this video seeing how many different movie pieces and people that were involved it's just truelly incredible something like this was even able to get started let alone finished wow ! And just wanna say how inspiring it is especially since I wanna be a VFX artist and there's people like this whole team that are able to pull all of this off to lead the way

    I'm just getting into learning 3d animation and some rudimentary vfx, so this is awesome! Definitely gonna sub. Power Rangers vs Voltron was fun, and it'd be great to see more of the technical breakdown side of things in the future.

    • @RoundTableAnimation
      @RoundTableAnimation  7 лет назад

      Thanks for liking the video!! Did you like the technical breakdown?? I was thinking of recording my actual process of doing my next video so its more detailed. 3D animation is great!, what programs you learning?

    • @Sanforan
      @Sanforan 7 лет назад +1

      Yah, it was cool! It'd be great to see things in greater detail in the future!
      There are a 101 tutorials on just about anything on youtube (Which is a good thing) but it's really cool to be able to see the process from the perspective of having enjoyed the content first. It makes you a bit more invested in watching!
      I'm just in the first couple months of school, primarily been working in maya so far, a bit in after effects and photoshop. It's motivating to see videos from creators I've been watching for years (And finding new ones :D) using programs that I'm just starting to understand and getting a better scope on what's possible on them!

    • @RoundTableAnimation
      @RoundTableAnimation  7 лет назад

      That might give me an idea of posting a breakdown after each video for the animation and VFX people who want to know the back end of the video! Yea man, I wish I was as smart as you to look up creators when I was in college, you're going to go far if you're only in the first couple of months!

    Shoutout to my 🇭🇹 brother Clifford Paul for doing big things! Dude your work looks amazing! I'm starting out using Cinema 4D but hopefully I can learn from your workflow in Maya. What's the next project that you're working on?

    • @RoundTableAnimation
      @RoundTableAnimation  7 лет назад +1

      Thanks man!! How did you know!? Lol. Maya is my beautiful nightmare but I have seen people do some phenomenal things with C4D too. Actually the next thing I have on my plate is the alternate ending to Power Rangers vs Voltron while I'm testing a workflow to produce faster results to upload more frequently.

      @Stories_behind_the_eye 7 лет назад +1

      Round Table Studios 😂 For me the name gave you away and since my mother is Haitian I guess I know my people. I hear that the learning curve is steep in Maya. How long have you been animating? Is that your sole focus in Maya? I can't wait to see the alternate ending and what's in store from your channel. Cheers!

    • @RoundTableAnimation
      @RoundTableAnimation  7 лет назад

      I did go to school for it and its the only one I know currently so I am trying to focus on other programs because Maya does take a long time to render which doesn't really work for a youtube space. I have been animating on and off for 6 years but to get to this level, that can be done in less than half the time. The alternate ending is going to be fun and I am looking forward to show you guys some really cool stuff!!

    • @Stories_behind_the_eye
      @Stories_behind_the_eye 7 лет назад +1

      Round Table Studios Nice! It would be awesome if you switch to C4D! Would rendering work faster in octane, Vray or something else? I hear octane uses the power of the gpu but not sure if it works for Maya. How long did it take for you guys to finish this production?

    • @RoundTableAnimation
      @RoundTableAnimation  7 лет назад

      Well I'm looking towards game engines since its real-time rendering, can't beat that. Its a whole different beast but I think its worth looking into. Maya uses CPU and GPU does produce faster results though. For this project, we had the concept done completely by March, production started in April/May and post was August/September, so it took us 9-10 months which is long as hell!! hence why the R&D on a better workflow.

    did you animate, rig, and model all of them or did you do a specific one. I know that in Disney and Dream works they got people working for rigging, animating, and modeling seperately.

    • @RoundTableAnimation
      @RoundTableAnimation  7 лет назад

      Yes we had a separate modeler, rigger, animator and texture artist for the two models. Knowing that workflow for the higher production companies we did the same here as well so each portion was done by an expert!

      +J Smooth Soul Beats just the 3d portion or with the actors and everything?

    • @JSmoothSoul
      @JSmoothSoul 6 лет назад

      everything. Just to see if its even possible to make a cool modern power rangers show. I'd say they wouldn't want the budget to go over 3 to 5 million a episode

    • @RoundTableAnimation
      @RoundTableAnimation  6 лет назад

      +J Smooth Soul Beats Oh wow, yeah well the actual shows cost like $1mil per episode and something like the Flash or Arrow which is a more modern take on classic ideas cost about $3 million per episode. So it's definitely possible to make something like that to work
