Nice video. . . Informative. It seems it only take micro adjustment. For anyone who've ask, it has to be on the rear stand for u to spin wheels for adjustment, remember that chains has few tight spots after every few inches and has to be gauge too.
@@keatodylan Thats funny, my manual says 50Nm under chapter 13, pg101 Tighten screw 1, screw eccentric, M16, 50NM (36.9lbf ft) My manual is 2014 so not sure if this is updated on later models.
@TheBlackandTheBeast Agreed! WD40 cleans wheels very well. But it will collect dust. Good to give it an additional wipe with a moist cloth. (Baby wipes)
E.S. Slc turn the back wheel, and lift up on the lower part of the chain while the wheel is in different locations, you should have a consistent 1” of play in the chain minimum. If the chain becomes tight and there is no movement, it’s too tight
ToddTube I did exactly what you showed in the video. Now when I lift the chain up it covers the first mark but I can see the top mark. It's in between the two.
Well I'm gutted got new 16t sprocket only to find no half moon adjuser in the tool kit, managed to move wheel forward and get sprocket off but no way could I make wheel go back, spend 35k on a GT only to find no chain adjuster....very slack KTM
7 years later it still helping people, Thanks :)
and it's still the best bike I own.
Really helpful video, used the owners manual and this was much clearer! thanks!

Thanks buddy, very useful, just done on my 2016 one. Amazing how it’s simple on monoarm bike!
Cant do this on the side stand? Needs to have the rear wheel up from the ground?
Thanks very helpful video...i did it because my chain was too tight. 👍🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
That's very easy, I like it.
What is the torque spec on the bolt that your supposed to loosen and retighten?
@@keatodylan thank you for the reply. I actually took care of the chain today and torqued it down to 51.6 LBS.

keatodylan i have 2019 and my manual says Screw, eccentric M16 70Nm(51.6lbf ft) so it must have changed in the newer models
The owners manual says to use a wheel stand to lift the bike before you try to adjust the chain.
hahaha
Thanks for the quick easy video!
No problem, this is still my favorite bike 😊
How do you keep your bike that clean?! I can't seem to get the grime off my rear wheel?! What do you use? Btw great vid thanks !
I use chain wax instead of chain lube.
Broo WD40 REALLY DOES MIRACLES! SPECIALLY FOR GRIME!

Thank you for watching the video
Can I know the size of the hook wrench that can be used? Size and thickness, etc.
The wrench comes in the Super Duke tool bag, it should be under your seat.
thanks very much - that was a big help =- I don't need to pay the dealer to do it now MERCI
No problem
When it's raining, you can adjust your chain. 😉 Thanks
Thought ya were to adjust it while on the side stand?
For information tightening torque must be 70nm
How bad is it when the chain comes up to the lower line but it is not in the middle of the two? Can I still ride the bike? Thank you

That is correct, It should perfectly adjusted.
My swingarm is chrome plated and extended five inches.
Aren't you supposed to adjust the chain whilst the wheels are on the ground.
It doesn’t matter, it puts the same amount of weight on the swing arm on a stand as it does on the ground
Takk. Det var svært nyttig. Det viste jeg ikke.
Easy👍🏻 thx!
Use a torque wrench
50Nm ~ 36.9 lbf ft
70nm in the manual. (2017 super duke r)
Seoul Rider correct 👍🏻
Cool how much nm to tide it.
70nM KTM revised it up from 50nM back in 2015.
Thank you 💕
