- My RS5 sprung a leak! Before I had a chance to drive the Audi RS5 I bought rom G3 auctions, it developed an oil leak that made it too risky to drive it home. So we have to get it sorted and give it a proper drive!

That £275 pipe (and the £300 labour to install) is the reason I'll never buy an expensive car again..... Though I love to watch

Seems nearly impossible to buy something ready for retail at auction, glad it's an easy (ish) fix tho, I've just bought a 15 plate quasgui from Abs, crunches into 2nd,so it's a box rebuild (!)

If I won it I would have to sell it I certainly couldn't afford to run it. I would imagine the tax, insurance and maintenance would be horrendous.

Maintenance isn't bad on these... remember most of it's service bits are from the VW parts bin

So forgive stating the obvious
WHY would anyone buy a damaged car that may well have been thrashed before you bought it from G3
Who says it’s damaged? Do I really need to explain how the used car market works? If you can’t afford a new one, buy a second hand one. Do you think the RS5 was designed to carry shopping bags at 30mph? 100% it’s been thrashed, that’s what it’s designed for!
It was only the oil pipe and two lower suspension arms? minor problems.
Grandads Passat failed the MOT for both front lower joints and 'console bushes', at least the RS5 wont be choked up with carbon...
Tar & glue remover, fallout removal, clay bar, light machine polish & then a ceramic coating. 🤌🏻
