The 1st movement of Terje Rypdal`s Symphony no. 2, "The New Era" (Opus no. 11, 1978). Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Per Dreyer, cond. With the band from "Waves"; Terje Rypdal, Palle Mikkelborg, Sveinung Hovensjø and Jon Christensen. In addition, Håkon Graf and Iver Kleive on keyboards. Aired on NRK Radio in 1978. Rypdal was nominated for the very prestigious Nordic Council Music Award in 1978 for this symphony. It was planned for an ECM release, but it never happened. Hear the entire Symphony no. 2 here:
