Miele W1 WCR 890 WPS Waschmaschine - Cottons 40°C/104°F w/ Quick

Schöne Ostern euch allen! Hier seht ihr meine Miele beim Waschen einer kleineren Ladung weißer Wäsche auf Baumwolle 40°C mit der Zusatzfunktion "Quick". Quick verändert den Programmablauf bei den Temperatureinstellungen kalt-50°C drastisch. Die Programmlaufzeit wird um eine Stunde gekürzt, sodass wir fast bei der Laufzeit der Softtronic Reihe aus den 2000ern sind, nämlich 1:39h. Entgegen meiner Erwartung wird aber kaum an der Waschzeit geschraubt, diese beläuft sich auf über eine Stunde (gepumpt wird bei 30 Minuten Restzeit), es wird am Spülen und Schleudern gespart. Es werden nur zwei Spülgänge durchgeführt, bei voller Beladung auch mit maximalem Wasserstand. Was aber besonders heraussticht, ist das Schleudern. Hier gehts ziemlich zügig zur Sache - ganz zum Nachteil der Pumpe bei voller Beladung, weswegen sich dieses Programm auch nur bedingt dazu eignet. Bei 6kg sollte Schluss sein. Denn das Vorentwässern entfällt im Zwischenschleudern, und es wird so schnell auf 1200 U/min beschleunigt, dass man das Gefühl bekommt, die Maschine hätte eine Leer-Beladung erkannt. Allerdings hat die Maschine auch eine sehr zügige Schaumerkennung, eine Schaumparty hatte ich bei dem Programm bisher nie.
Zudem wird bereits noch im Bremsprozess die Wasserweiche angesteuert, sodass das Spülen schneller beginnen kann. Das Endschleudern sticht dann mit knapp sechs Minuten Dauerschleudern bei 1600 U/min hevor, es wird auch zwischendrin nicht auf 1000 U/Min runtergebremst, sondern durchweg 1600 U/min gehalten. Das finde ich bemerkenswert gut, frage mich allerdings, warum das ausgerechnet bei der Einstellung "Quick" so gemacht wird.
Der Hauptwaschgang fällt auch etwas aus dem gewohnten Muster. In der Aufheizphase wird die Trommel deutlich langsamer bewegt, als man es vom Programm "Baumwolle" kennt, was dazu führt, dass die Wäsche mehr Kontakt zum nicht gebundenen Wasser in der Trommel hat und sich entsprechend schneller aufheizt. Einmal aufgeheizt, wird der Rhythmus deutlich intensiver und der Jet läuft ohne Pause permanent durch. So lob ich mir das. Die Verwendung des Jets im letzten Spülgang entfällt jedoch, was etwas schade, aber auch kein Weltuntergang ist. Zusammengefasst: ein sehr gelungenes Programm. Kleiner Tipp: Die 40 Grad werden übrigens leicht überschritten. Für diejenigen, die Sorge haben, dass die Wäsche dann einläuft (was sie nicht tun wird, aber manche haben ja die Sorge), einfach 30°C wählen. Da wird bis ca 35°C geheizt.

Happy easter everyone! Here you can see my Miele washer doing a load of whites on Cottons 40 with the option "Quick". Quick changes the program run very much on the temperature settings cold-50°C/122°F. First of all, the duration of the cycle is reduced to 1:39h, which is nearly as quick as the cycles from the Softtronics build in the 2000. But what I did not see coming: the main wash is nearly as long as usual (about 1:09h, the draining pump turns on at 30 minutes left on display). It is the rinsing and spinning which is speed up a lot. There are only two rinsing cycles instead of three, and when the washer detects a full load, it raises the water level to maximum. But the spinning is special. The pre-spinning is not performed during intermediate spinning, it just starts with the regular spinning, but that fast, that you get the feeling, the washer has detected an empty drum. The draining pump obviously is not made for that performance, which makes it impossible for the washer to spin that way with 9kg in it. 6kg should be enough, when you choose the option Quick. But since the washer has a great suds recognition, I never had bad sudslocks on that cycle at any time. Anyway. During the final spinning the washer holds the speed at 1600rpm for nearly 6 minutes straight, without slowing down to 1000rpm as usual. I really like that, but I asked myself: why does it spin that way with the Quick option? Also the main wash is performed differently. During the heating phase, the drum rotates much slower than usual on Cottons, which helps to heat the laundry faster, since the garments have more contact to the rest of the water left in the drum when the drum doesn't rotate so fast. After reaching the 40°C/104°F, the drum speed increases and the jet is activated without any breaks. I like that. The usage of the jet during the final rinsing is not performed which is a little sad but no drama at all. And also a little hint: The temperature is a little over 40°C/104°F. So if you are scared that your garments shrink because of that (they won't, but I know, there are some who are scared of that), just select 30°C/86°F. The washer will reach 35°C/95°F on that setting which is also enough.
All in all a very good cycle in my opinion.
