i think chicharong bulaklak is the MESENTERY. it's attached to the intestines and the reason why it's called bulaklak is because it looks like a flower.
Fung Bros! been watching your videos for a LLLOONGG time and I just happen to surmise the past months you have been delving more into Pinoy Food and culture! thanks for that. You're bringing awareness to all the food that we have grown up eating. Xiexie. All the best to your channel bros!
So funny Andrew shaking that ketchup down like a true Filipino lol Banana ketchup is slightly more viscous than the tomato variant so you gotta work harder pouring it out of the bottle
Why is it every time I watch you guys eat, I get hungry? It's like "Inhibitions out the door. Peace out."😆 Enjoy. Stay safe with your every explorations and discoveries.
Boi Ube is amazing, love his songs, so proud of you, keep it going but remain the humblest! Fung Bros awesome esp when they hit Filipino dishes and share some of their previous experiences and favourites, and I will never get tired watching and supporting them no matter what plates on the table! They’re the coolest duo and so does their really good friends who joined them everytime! God bless you all. You had me at bangus and langka and everything else!! Pastries are so yummy esp the halohalo and turon and ubes!😋❤❤😊😊
This used to be the serving size and food quality with the Max's restaurants here in the Philippines 7-8 years ago. Nowadays when you go to Max's it's all just sad and not worth the price.
Love your community, your friends, your food videos, band of brothers. Keep doing what you do. Makes all the difference. "It's a hit". North Pole Alaska.
chicken feet was popularized in the philippines by the filipino-chinese. became a mainstay at beer-drinking sessions. my dad, when he was still alive, always ordered chicken feet when he brought me to chinese restos in manila. whenever i see chicken feet, i remember him and our father-and-son bonding. good times.
Bulaklak is a flower in tagalog that resembles the pork masentry in chicharon bulaklak. It has a combination of crunchy and chewy texture. It goes well with beer or what we call "pulutan". 🍺
Yo Bros, thank you so much for appreciating everytime you do filipino food trip!!! Hope next time, you try even the most exotic delicacies and dishes.., 😁😁😁
From the Bay area, SF bae pinay here. I jus came back from the homeland philippines. My favorite dipping sauce for the lechon kawali is the soysauce with Calamansi with a bit of vinegar. The reason was but the calamansi fruit is slightly acidic and naturally sweet. This brings out the flavor of the fat and also manages to not make it taste oily. The brown sauce is mostly sweet and tastes good as it does make it creamy. Although, if you’re tryna jus binge down this meat lol. Soy sauce combo ftw. I love eating the fried chicken dishes cause they don’t skip out on making the chicken tasting juicy and the crust is excellent. The fried milkfish bangus I like the skin extra crispy and the meat itself lightly fried. Also if you do go eat fast food in Philippines, all the food is farm raised. The animals are all free range so their meats def taste different. The only thing is finding a fast food that cleans their oil daily. Andoks is a common fast food, they do bbq chicken using charcoal!! I would say Filipino fast food doesn’t taste like fast food. It’s more like food that been prepped and cooked quickly. Most of the foods were not preserved and if it did, you can still appreciate how fresh it was. That langka dish is also my top fav. Binge eat it feelin healthy thinking you rating meat lol. And any sisig dish for daysss. List of foods I recommend not on the video: Turon with Jackfruit instead of fried banana wrapped in Lumpia wrapper covered with sticky sugar. With fruit ice cream or vanillaz Bulalo, clear beef stew with bone cartilage
I’m from SF too! Any good Filipino restaurants you recommend in the area? I’m new to Filipino food, but I’ve been dying to try some especially after watching this video.
Turon in the Philippines is either saba banana or turon with langka, which is turon with saba banana AND langka, I havent seen a langka only turon though must be a specialty
Fried fish: should’ve highlighted the gold of the fish and that is the belly. I mean filos sell the belly cut, choice cut of Bangus for a reason. The fatty part of the fish. It’s divine!😋
I like to start my lechon kawali with Mang Tomas for a couple bites but I need to eat the rest with vinegar dipping. The vinegar really cuts through the richness of the pork belly and therefore able to eat more😅
Brooooooo....the homie Nelson crackin' me up on this one. LOL Then the singing cat... talkin about ho's on the poles to the titas! LOL HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ya'll are tooooooo much!!!
Wow I truly enjoyed watching this video. You guys are really good with your reviews and you all ate good stuff. Also all very good looking Asian guys. I can't wait to see your other videos. Thank you for this awesome video. Super Cool, love the descriptions of the food.
New subscriber here. I love this because you're trying Filipino food on different aspects. From semi fast food that's Max's, to traditional dishes to street foods like battered quail eggs and skewers to authentic bread and pastries in Red Ribbon and more. I love my lechon kawali to be dipped in that mang tomas sauce(liver sauce) sweet and delish. But I sometimes like the other dipping sauce. The one that's made with chopped shallots, soy sauce, vinegar and brown sugar. Yup Filipino food has a lot of influences. But majority is from the Spaniards since they occupied the Philippines for 300+ years. The different pancit variants and siumai(siomai in the Philippines) came from the Chinese.
The only problem in this video is that its 26 minutes long but it feels short or bitin.hehehe. Nice content. It was full of Filipino food and entertaining.
Thanks for sharing! Filipino food is like a natural Asian fusion with Spanish influence. Our food is confused, that's probably why it hasn't made main steam.... in a good way
To be honest, Filipino restaurants in America are much better than those in the Philippines. Poverty reduced Philippine cooking in the Philippines. In America, they more creative and don't scrimp on ingredients. Congrats to you people outside my country.
I think Pinoy resto in the US is better when it comes to presentation, it has bigger serve and usually made it americanized to compliment of course Americans while us Pinoy in the phils serve it authentically and home made style.ofcors we also consider the prices of our ingredients so most of us usually cook it the way we want to cook it and it means cutting some ingredients to save money
Lumpia is a spring roll NOT an egg roll. You DO NOT use an eggroll wrapper with lumpia, and it doesn't have very plain, bland ingredients like egg rolls.
tbh, i was quite skeptical when they say a lot of filipinos are black passing ,until i saw this phony boi angel. i guess that's what that meant. thanks
My mom is partial tanjay Philippines. My dad has partial tanjay , baigou , and my dad is half filiphino american by last name, I hope you liked your meal
chicken feet got its moniker from the old logo of adidas that resembled a claw with 3 fingers also, afaik. the chinese have been trading with the filipinos even before the spanish occupation. also, the oldest chinatown in the world is in manila.
DAME PESO, boi.ube, the Tita Whisperer 😂😂😂...so many good nicknames came out of this vid haha
i think chicharong bulaklak is the MESENTERY. it's attached to the intestines and the reason why it's called bulaklak is because it looks like a flower.
chicharong bulaklak=mesentery
Dame Peso hahahahaha 🤣🤣
Tita means Aunty. 😊
😂🤣

The way David holding that Ketchup, you are not going anywhere,Banana Ketchup!❤😂
Finally, a Fung Bros food with guests.
Not crazy about this guest nor his 'rap'🙁
...or rather his R&B
Exactly was all autotune. Wouldn’t even show him actually singing lol. He just a poser.
Low-key prefer chicken chicharon over pork chicharon and high-key prefer our empanada dough cuz it's so buttery and sweet...🙈🙊
Mejo mas malasa Ang Chicken Chicharon kaysa Pork
This is how you do a proper cuisine review. You scavenge the place and try everything. awesome content you guys. Drooling from all the PH food.
What a feast! Thanks for havin me. For more boi ube subscribe to the RUclips ! 😂
You pronounce it bago-ong, it cracks me up that they love it. Its hard to explain shrimp paste to Americans.
Not if you grew up with it. 😊
Feels weird watching Fung Bros eat Filipino food without Benson
Food looks amazing boys… 🔥🔥🔥
Lechon Kawalé with the soy sauce and vinegar … and it’s not close
Just literally finished eating lunch. Now you got me hungry for Filipino food and desserts. 😋

Max's Fried Chicken should be eaten with banana catsup mixed with worcestershire sauce!!!

Respect to Fung Bros! Indeed this is legit Filipino food. Watching from the Philippines💪

Yup. It’s deep fried omentum or caul fat, which drapes over abdominal organs like the intestines.
Yo Bros, thank you so much for appreciating everytime you do filipino food trip!!! Hope next time, you try even the most exotic delicacies and dishes.., 😁😁😁

lechong kawali is better with vinegar, mince garlic and black pepper..yumm..and oh, a bit of chili too..
I like to start my lechon kawali with Mang Tomas for a couple bites but I need to eat the rest with vinegar dipping. The vinegar really cuts through the richness of the pork belly and therefore able to eat more😅
Brother actually serenaded to a Tita, and Tita was jiving away 😂
Lol she looked more annoyed. He couldn’t sing without autotune. That why they didn’t put the audio to him singing 😂
I never had Filipino food before other than Jollibee.
Eh boi angel just poser. Pinoys don’t say putangiamo they say masarap. He didn’t even know the brown sauce is mang Thomas. 😒

You gotta slant the bottle of ketchup slightly. Swear. It would be easier 😂

you guys got me craving 😮💨 mouth salivating and all
Im so hungry right now 😢
The Cantonese, Hokkien, and Filipino are the Baiyue descendants
Asians are good with rice. Its what type of rice they using makes the difference.
You definitely don’t say that if it’s good 😂😂

p*ta == that Spanish word, cuss word
ina == mother

chicken feet got its moniker from the old logo of adidas that resembled a claw with 3 fingers
also, afaik. the chinese have been trading with the filipinos even before the spanish occupation. also, the oldest chinatown in the world is in manila.
