How great that she thought of you and gifted all that fabric. I think if you have a friend who sews you should put you heads together to decide what they are and share them. If there are any sewing groups I'm sure they could make use of any you couldn't use too.

Hi Dianne, I am always moved by the kindness of others ,that was a kind and thoughtful thing for that woman to do and they have gone to the correct person who will make good use of the fabric. I particularly liked the two navy fabric with flowers on I could see a summer sleeveless button up dress and a shirt type jump suit. I'm sure you will make good use of that fabric which would have made that lady pleased... See you in next video have a good week .Susan 🌸🌼🌻🌺

Wow Dianne, that is some load of good fabric. What might be an idea is to do a "look book" where you could do a range of separate's and / or a capsule collection from the donated fabric. It would be lovely to show the ladies daughter and family what her fabric has produced. Maybe something with a vintage twist for some of them as you have the new Gertie book? Lots of the colours would go well with each other. I can't wait to see what you come up with. Delighted for you. X

Hi Tracy, that is a lovely idea. I did plan on sending some pictures to her so she could see it was getting used and appreciated. I am already using some in a quilt for spring I'm making as part of a facebook group. I am using some of the solid fabric mixed with all my little bits of offcuts. Thank you for watching, have a lovely day.

Hi Fiona, I know it was so kind and she said all she wants is to know it will be made into pretty things as this would have made her mum happy.

Could you eke out/colour balance potential husbands shirting options using contrast collars cuffs pocket? Drape fabrics...?-bias cut slip dresses like Sicily slip dress? Burn test for woolen feel fabric. Found your videos today and really enjoyed! Fabric musing is right up my street!

Hi Fran they are lovely ideas. I would love to do that on my husbands shirts but he is quite set in his ways and I don't think he'd wear it like that. I showed him a pattern cover image of one with contrasting sleeves once and he wasn't keen. I think they look great though. Have a lovely day.

What a wonderful gift from your friend! I'm sure her mother would be delighted to know that her precious fabric will be well used.
For the bouncy material - would that make a good bath robe? And for the shiny autumnal pasiley print, what about a knee length coat? Maybe with a Nehru style collar. Would be lovely over a solid color outfit.

Hi Dianne, ooh I'm excited that you mentioned gifting some of the fabric to me! That would be lovely. I think the red with rings on will suit you a lot, maybe a wrap dress? I like that you're starting to mention what you're wearing - think I recognise that Sienna dress pattern 😄 Great video as always xx

Hi Michelle, yes I have started a pile for you and in the other box there is suiting and I think you would like some of that too. We will chat about it when we get together, see you soon.

I loved the red fabric with the rings, I could definitely see that as a dress. However, you have inspired me to fish out a suitcase I have in the loft that I know has lots of fabric in which I bought years ago when I used to sew a lot. It will be interesting to see what is in it and how I can use it now.

Wonderful selection of fabrics. Many of them will suit you. The reddish with gold rings on it would be great as palazzo pants worn with a solid colored tunic but I’m not sure if you wear those as I’ve only recently found your channel. I love the dress you are wearing in this video. Adorable 🥰. It’s a good idea that you will share with your sewing friends because I’ve been gifted large amounts of fabric before and it’s impossible to keep it all.

Hi Noemi, wonderful idea I did make some wide leg pants last summer that were really comfy. I will have to make a plan, have a lovely weekend.

Hi Eileen, I have not heard of that one. I can make things pattern free so I can copy any look. I will look out for images of that one.🙂
