I’m an architect looking to get into arch photography. Your videos are turning me onto landscape photography as well. Your work and the breakdown of your thought process is very inspiring. Thank you very much. I’d love a full breakdown video of your kit with a brief explanation of which lenses you choose for different situations. Keep up the excellent content!
Terrific video. I really focused on that rusty wire sticking out of the concrete pipe as it did look like a withered flower ... water drops and your lighting would have been interesting😀
Beautiful pictures and a very well presented walk through. Even studying all this closely I know I cannot do what you do. I guess a mixture of hard work and a natural, artistic ability. Thank you.
salut Daniel toujours aussi sympa tes vidéos dommage que c est en anglais je préfère celle en français .😀 je rame un peu bonne journée à toi au plaisir de voir la prochaine vidéo .
A tip: I know people say taste is subjective but this is not a matter of taste: your clarity is way too high and unbalanced. Try to use less clarity and sharpening and second try to use it more selective on your main motives. Objects like foliage, grass, small stones etc. tend to look very chaotic when using too much clarity and sharpening. So avoid this effect for those elements. I edited Screenshots of your photos and achieved much better results by reducing the clarity and structure of the foliage in Lightroom. Also try to not do too much HDR. You had too harsh blacks for that in the pictures. In case you use somethimng like Pixelmator Pro or Luminar to edit your photos: drop it!!! The sliders are just too agressive. Lightroom is much more pleasant to the eye. I only use Luminar or Pixelmator for the final retouch.
Great video Daniel! It's super helpful to see the before and after with the lighting setup you have. I'm such a visual learner being a documentary photographer so it helps to see what you are talking about. Additionally, I absolutely LOVE the mushroom photo and the circle cylinder shots you took. Have you turned any of your photos black and white to see if they would translate? Thanks for a great video. I'm going to check out the mushroom video now as this fall/winter, fungi photos are my obsession! Thanks for inspiring that by the way! LOL.
Where do you find these places? I live in the same city as you and haven't been able to find those places. I'm still trying to find where that GMC you photograph is 😅
Dear Daniel Aucoin, Your videos have ignited my passion for photography, and I truly look up to you as a big brother and respected teacher. Your work is a constant source of inspiration, and I can't thank you enough for the impact it's had on my journey. 📷🌿 Love from India.
Great work Daniel! Really cool image at 8:24. I've always been intrigued by cases like this where degrading human elements are set against nature. Well done! Definitely looking forward to new vids, new sub!
Kudos for the unique content, Daniel - combo of nature and man’s “refuse”. A bit of Wabi-Sabi (appreciation for the worn and imperfect (pipes, in this case)). Clearly presented, well paced, good choice of music. Side by side split screen for compositions, a plus. Same for walk through explanation of each comp and lighting. For clarification, is your touch screen setting for combined touch to focus and shutter release, or just touch focus with focus de-coupled from shutter? Circles in pipes my fav. Did not think green stuff in one view was at all distracting. Noticed red rungs in one pipe - might have made for a good image w/red standing out from concrete. Red frames return😊. Nice.
Thank you very much for the comment. Yes for clarification that is a touch focus and shutter release. Read frame return because of your last comment, 🤟😉 Thanks 🙏
