"Cuplikan Kemeriahan" litterally meaning is "Excitement footage", here actually meaning is "highlight". The original duration of the opening ceremony is 2 hours 27 minutes, but I'm sure you won't get bored. Cause it's very fun & really entertaining. The opening ceremony was opened with a ratoeh jaroe dance to greet the invited guests in attendance, involving 1600 girls from 18 Jakarta High Schools. Ratoh Jaroe dance comes from Aceh. Aceh is a province located on the island of Sumatra, and is a province at the western end of Indonesia. That is why this dance became an opening, and there are still 20 traditional dances from several Indonesian ethnicities displayed with regional song at this event. Ratoeh Jaroe's dance is a modification dance that combines several types of Acehnese dances such as Saman dance, Ratoeh Doek dance, Loloek Puloe dance, Ratep Meuseukat dance and Ratu Bantai dance. Many people say this is saman dance, whereas ratoe jaroh dance is a different dance even though some of its movements take from saman dance. Pure Saman dance is only accompanied by claps of hands, chest, and poetry sung by the dancers. If there is an accompaniment of rapa'i music as accompaniment, that means Ratoeh Jaroe. Rapa'i itself is a genuine Acehnese percussive instrument made from basic materials such as wood and animal skin. In Aceh, Saman is identical with men, and Ratoeh Jaroe is female. Worried that a woman who danced seemed rude. So, until now Saman can only be danced by men. It's different with Ratoeh Jaroe, in contrast to Saman, this creative dance is precisely dying with women. Saman dance is sung with Gayo language lyrics, while Ratoeh Jaroe lyrics is Aceh language. Saman is dressed as a traditional Gayo outfit, which is a filigree patterned pockets (basic black clothes with yellow, red and green motifs) with headdresses using bulang teleng with kepies or pandan leaves. While Ratoeh Jaroe uses plain red, yellow, green and other clothes combined with Aceh songket with the use of plain colored headbands. Another difference between Saman and Ratoeh Jaroe is the number of dancers. Saman dance is performed by male dancers with odd numbers, while Ratoh Jaroe dance is performed by female dancers with an even number. That is why this dance is exhibited by 1,600 dancers from 18 high schools throughout DKI Jakarta. The Ratoeh Jaroe dance that was held formed several batik motifs, plaid motifs of color gradations, up to indonesian flag "Red-White". Batik motifs that are seen include lines like classic Jogja batik and Aceh batik which are identical with bright colors. This can be seen from the use of brightly colored costumes such as orange, purple, gold and red. When the performance of thousands of dancers formed a box formation, the Aceh regional song "Bungong Jeumpa" was sung to accompany the dance. This dance reflects education, religion, courtesy, heroism, cohesiveness, and togetherness. "Bungong Juempa" (Michelia champaka) is endemic flora in Aceh. The lyrics of song are inspired by the beauty of this flower. The dynamic movements of the dancers show the energy that belongs to the Asian Games, in line with the big theme of this event namely Energy of Asia. This greeting ended by showing the "red-white" Indonesian flag formed from the color of the dancer's clothes highlighted from above. In full video all dancers immediately turned blue and split into two parts, the middle of which will be passed between the athletes' contingent parade from 44 Asian countries. You're right, this opening ceremony has 5 segments. 1. Water theatrical from the Majapahit kingdom in 1293 to 1500, "Gajah Mada" which unites islands with water. And this also symbolizes the greatness of Indonesia as a maritime country.
