  • Tracey Reierson completes a full set of sculptures gels using the New Synergy Precision Applicator Gels in Real Time. Her goal is to finish within 60 minutes, and I think you'll be surprised by how fast she actually does this full set of nails, with a little bit of nail art as well.

    “How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
    Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
    Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
    Welcome to the Young Nails family!

    My end of year goal is to learn how to do forms well and fast! Putting on a form takes me an additional 20-30mins, all these videos do help me, but I always end up having my acrylic chip where the form meets my natural nail in the corner. I follow all of your tips from these videos+nail school vids but it still happens all the time!
    Also my life goal is to be like Tracey xD

    I had this product for months now since last year I know I’m super late . I bought it when I didn’t even know what I was doing lol I got it when I was just building my nail kit . I am a month away from graduating with my license ! (Yay) being that we needed to learn forms I had difficulty with forms , and applying acrylic . I’m a beast with tips and applying acrylic . But I say this , this precision tip is AMAZING . I am so much more comfortable sculpting with hard gel with this tip than with acrylic ! This thing is a life saver ! I still have to practice for state board with applying acrylic with forms but I am literally going to do my own set today with this and forms . Thank god for this product I watch you guys often on IG . Young nails was my first video I ever watched on doing nails and I was sold . You guys started my nail career ! I love you guys !

      Hi Julie, I actually am able to do the gel with the brush fast, because I am able to float now and I really don’t over think it. If someone is struggling with floating or can’t just let it go.. this will speed up their time. Also I did slow it down a bit because Habib was really on me about my head being in the way and dusting ourselves off every few minutes. Hope that helps❤️

    Timestamp, from 16:35 on, you started talking about hoping not having your head in the frame and started explaining the way you looked at it.. but last week you did have your head somewhat in the frame and the exact thing you tried to explain here and did before also, I understood now because I saw HOW you looked at it! Because it was in frame! And you know what? I learned SO much from that! Because the next day I started noticing my way of looking and compared it to yours and the fact I looked way to much from a certain point, I corrected myself and..... am now way! Faster! Yesss! 👊😁
    So, thank you for your beautiful head in frame 😁 , you learned me 1 point extra to teach myself a trick to be faster and I wished and hope that more people picked up this point last time!
    So, now you explained the way you watch, I get it because I saw it and.. loved it!
    (And back to the video, if I have more to say I will edit it from this point forward)

    I first thought that you were using a poly gel with this applicator. This is so so awesome because i decided to try gel again. I took your one on one class for Gel , and i did acrylic instead because i did not have the patience with floating. Now that i am getting back into the business and i do not want to use acrylic because of the smell. I replaced acrylic with polygel and i bought your gel to start practicing Gel application, again. Now Thanks for giving me a different method for gels. ( yea not floating) However it was kinda exciting that i thought you were creating a polygel product to use that way... i know that i may not be feasible, but a girl could only with. I kinda mixed your gel with the clear slicka por and it works . for now.

    Love you guys so much for everything that you do. I have struggles here. I’ve been doing nails for about 3 months. How do you deal with customers coming back about lifting or all the nails falling off in 1 week? Most of my customers are not like that but there are few of them coming back 3rd time with same issue. Also did you guys have hard time in the beginning with lifting or not smooth all that stuff? Hopefully im not alone 😭😭 How long it took you to have confident to let them know that you guarantee your nail for 2 week?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  5 лет назад +1

      Unfortunately it is part of the learning process. Keep at it & you'll get it down. A lot of the time lifting can be traced back to prep, too smooth of a surface, getting product on cuticle etc. Also if you aren't already you should try protein bond it will help w/ lifting

    So does the "burn" happen with this gel when curing? I was taught to apply thin layers to avoid the burn when curing the gel. With this application it's a good amount and wondered if it burns when curing. I want to get back into doing nails and gel were my favorite to do.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад

      With most gels, if you apply it thicker you will feel some heat. If you tend to feel the heat, we recommend using the "low heat" mode with our UV/LED lamp so the gel cures slower and you don't get the heat spike. Otherwise, you can cure the product outside the light for 20 seconds and then go all the way in for the full cure.

    I’m just finding out about YN products but I wish some of the videos would have a closer view during application and filing? The second layer that was applied was uneven… doesn’t it create shallow areas or does the gel level out and smooth into the gel already applied?

    • @youngnailsinc

      Some hard gel does self level, but you are going to be using your e-file to remove bulk and shape so that is where you will refine and mke everything even.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 года назад +1

      Depending on the toenail, you can use either acrylic or gel to repair a toenail. If the reconstruction is necessary because of an infection etc, make sure there isn't any bacterial/fungal issues or open skin as it is not recommended to work on these conditions. You may need to have the client consult with their healthcare provider prior to application if there are any issues present.

    I love you guys everyone of you. You all have so much to bring to the table. But let me play devils advocate here. I never really feel like the prep is realistic because the cuticle I deal with looks so much worse and is than these nail techs nails. And not all clients are consistent. And I am not going to tell them to go to another nail tech bc they aren't coming as frequently as I think they should. My clients are good, and do the best they can but I don't feel like I can prep nails that fast. I know Tracy is very experienced but my prep takes to long bc I'm dealing with to much cuticle.. I don't want to over file. I can't find the balance ....I would like to see actual nail techs in realtime in salons....on real clients. There is a disconnect here for me. As much as I love watching you all I need to see people off the street getting nails done not other nail techs doing other nail techs nails. I think it's fine for edu purposes but if you want to reach me grab some folks off the street with imperfect not already prepped nails. Thanks for always keeping up with new content and improving our industry. ❤️

    Can I use the nail tips for the precision Gel

  • @lauriemerich130

    This couldn’t have came at a better time! I have a client that I’m considering converting to gel, her hands are in water and she has been having issues with her acrylic! I’m planning on using pot gel since I don’t have tube yet but I know that her fills will be super easy once I get new tube gel!

    Can I sculpt nails over nail tips or on forms using Mani Q soft gel in the pot?

      ManiQ in the tub is a soft gel and is not for building an extensions.

    Just ordered some stuff for the first time....love you guys 22 yr tech and I love watching your videos daily or listening during my day career. trying the tube and a sample kit with reg gel..... excited. I use the gelish 36 watt lamp will this be ok together? also, why do you use a base gel instead of just going in with the precision tube? Thank you

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  5 лет назад +1

      base gel is necessary for all gels, and it is not currently in tubes because it needs to be applied with slight pressure like a polish application. that lamp should be just fine, be aware that lamps do need to be changed out about once every year - 2 years so if you run into curing issues that could be why

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  4 года назад

      They are the most sanitary cause you can use them directly from the tube or squeeze out the qty you need to use on a tile. No dust or contaminants can get inside the tube!.

    Okay, hi there, I have a question. I know that this is "real time" and btw, I love these. I really do like to see real time work. It shows how you do your entire job and what my future expectations are going to be with practice. Here is my question though. It shows that you barely just pushed back her cuticles and quickly used the drill to rough up her Natural nails. Is that really all that you do on clients? I take so long doing cuticle care and making sure I have absolutely ZERO shiny spots on the natural nail plate and that takes up so much time. Did you do more cuticle care and Natural nail prep before you started recording? Or do you really just do only what you had shown on here to clients?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад

      No, we do all our work on camera during a real time. There are going to be client who have worse cuticles than her so may need to use a cuticle bit as well as the cross cut or sanding band.

    Started to crack,what could I have done wrong?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 года назад

      Is it the top coat that is cracking? Did you do this set in hard gel like this or in gel polish on the natural nails?

  • @gabriellemartin1575
    @gabriellemartin1575 5 лет назад

    Hi guys in the video you said that the finish gel cant be soaked off. Is it a hard gel top coat? Also i have the non stain top coat and i am not using it on any hard gel product just more of a gel polish and when i have used it on myself with just gel polish it seems to crack? Do you have any reasons as to why that could be?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  5 лет назад

      Correct, both stain resistant and finish are hard gels, they can not be soaked off & should not be applied over gel polish alone as they will shatter and crack because the base is not strong enough to hold up that top coat.

      It means using the handle end of the brush to move the product instead of the actual bristles of the brush.

    What is the base that you use? Clear gel polish? Or is it more of a builder gel?

  • @Lola-om7pk
    @Lola-om7pk 4 года назад

    I use the product in the pots, when building out the nail you use clear sculptor, base and then finish out with the sculptor? Or do you use build to finish. And an issue I'm running into is my nails come out really flat. How do I build up the structure in the apex and what should I use?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  4 года назад

      You can use ether, as for building an apex you can cure the initial sculpt then add more product to the apex area and cure again. Since gel self levels it is hard to get the apex to where it should be in the first try

    • @Lola-om7pk
      @Lola-om7pk 4 года назад

      Thanks! But will clear sculptor be better because its thicker? I'm having a hard time, my nails keep turning out really thin
