World in Conflict and Supreme Commander should be in Absolute Hall of Fame. The storytelling is just off the charts with insane sweet gameplay. Not easy to combine and pull off. Broken Arrow looks so close, really close 🤞
Man i agree, world in conflict, has remained undisputed for 16 years... Not a single game has managed to get even close to world in conflict, either its gameplay or its storyline...
This is probably my most anticipated rts. The blend of wargame scale with world in conflicts combat and gameplay is a beautiful blend. Biggest thing that I believe is this game will be a warno killer is the fact you get to customize your units. By that I mean choosing presets of plyon management for aircraft. What kind of up armor packages for tanks. What advance infantry equipment you like. My biggest gripe about wargame was that you were stuck with units that should have more weapon options. This fills that void perfectly. An the fact you get abilities for every unit. Can draw up your airstrike zones is a great touch. Really pays homage to world in conflict that way. Bring able to adjust aircraft to drop flairs, afterburner and go low to avoid radar or high to do some defensive maneuver is a great touch. Makes fix wing very capable and dangerous unit. Counter measures actually work in this too, which is awesome. There is just so much that I like about this games direction I hope it takes off. An gets a lot of attention, additional countries and branches will be a nice touch.
@@shadow7988 You are not wrong, I personally did not enjoy warno. But Eugen has made decisions that this is the direction they will go and are willing to die on that hill. I love how they got technical aspects of the individual equipment and such correct. I was a little surprised they got the weight that a 53 can carry correct even though they called it a sea stallion.
this looks absolutely amazing, i love the finer details with the zoomed in view, it actually puts the player into the battlefield and makes the gameplay that much more immersive and engaging! This is why i have been more of a fan of cnc and company of heroes where you actually feel connected to each unit as if you are there in the battle with them rather than just having a giant mini map with little icons showing where each units are which just feels boring.
I've learned A LOT of combat strategies and vehicles variants and its weapons from games like War Thunder and DCS... but I always loved RTS games like age of empires, so when looking for like Company of Heroes, I couldn't find anything that looked graphically appealing that kept a good level of depth on the vehicle's systems... I got War Game back on the day after playing Company of Heroes 2 for some time, but it looks very outdated and the vehicles limits its loadouts based on the variant... I just didn't like it at all... BUT BROKEN ARROW! seems to be the game that I've been waiting for all this time! I really have big expectations from them.
The planes are quite cool though I still think keeping them as support like in WiC is better for a game of this smaller scale. The reality is they would be on and off a map area this small in seconds.
Looks at the World in Conflict level, but it would be nice to refine the landscape, making it a little more diverse depending on the terrain (mountains, hills, passes, etc.), destructibility of buildings depending on the degree of damage
Have you heard of Sanctuary: Shattered Sun,? A spiritual successor to Supreme Commander. Its looking pretty awesome. I think a beta is planned for release sometime around March.
just out of curiosity, i'm wandering whether the number of troops in this game is limited as that in wargame, cause from my personal perspective, firstly it may be a little bit weird when seeing troops coming from nowhere, secondly, limited resources may make this game more tactical and players do need to plan their strategies in advance in case that they may run out all of their armies and also, limited resources may lead to a more dynamic game experience. i really hope that broken arrow can get a little bit closer to graviteam tactics, which means players can concentrate more on what is happening on the battlefield not just putting too much energy to the micromanegement, which means they certainlly need to develop advanced AI system for this game. Perhaps they can set up a switch from AI control to manul control. @Raptor the ability to recover downed aircrew is a huge thing for me.
