Don't understand why some people are giving this game a hard time. It's literally a demo of an alpha build. I played a bit last night and loading Marines into an osprey to cross the canal was such an awesome thing to witness.
yea but luckily they have time to add and fix things but i can't wait for late this year
This game is going to be amazing I think most people are just trying to curb the hype train since so many rts games have been such a let down. The demo is so good tho yes bugs but honestly it’s core is awesome
@@jakXDbaby well if it full version it will fell like we got TRUE blessings from God
Because it is poorly executed and not well explained
Who?
I really like how strong the big buildings are in this game. Artillery is always something that is difficult to balance and not letting them one shot infantry in buildings is really nice.
True, though something as small as a SMAW or RPG rocket and level a house, not to mention, 61mm mortars and higher. Although any main battle tank is going to one-shot anything other than another main battle tank. I mean the AAV's armor isn't stopping anything more than a medium machine gun round (.308 cal or 7.62mm), and maybe a heavy machine gun round (.50 cal or 12.7mm) with some up-armor kits but then you're sacrificing it's buoyancy and it'll become and iron duck.
@@mh-ht2fp actually yes
@@mh-ht2fp Yes I do.
@@mh-ht2fp clearly never heard of warthunder
i had some buildings survive 20-30 direct mortar impacts, which is hilarious, what are they stalinium? I also feel infantry die way too quickly, but i am definitely excited for the game when it releases.
Can’t wait to play the game when it comes out. I’ve always wanted a military RTS in a modern setting with modern equipment and this game is exactly that
Give Regiments a shot to tide you over. It is excellent.
Look into wargame
Especially when it has that BF1 operation style
There is warno, it is not the best thing every but it is getting a lot better
Try Tom Clancy’s endwar it was a hidden gem came out 15 years ago but really ahead for its time
Looks like World in Conflict. I loved that game so much. Still wish we got a sequel. Glad I got it on steam before they took it off.
55:25 The guy who's the only one left in his SMAW team says "US Marine" instead of 'US Marines". That's morbidly hilarious.
small detail, but in the original halo wars if a marine squad gets down to 1 man and you use the grenade ability, the marine says "grenade, on my mark" instead of grenades
WTF the units are so highly detailed for a strategy game. well done
And for Alpha build of the game that still have until December to be fully finished I’m excited
@@theurbangoose6918 when will it be released?
@@simpleexplain688 next year
The things I'm really looking forward with the full release on this game is the mod support and the mission maker. Just imagine the possibilities!
Gonna be making a halo mod
@@lostrangerjosh8680 would be awesome. I would love a ww2 mod
I'm just thinking of all the star wars mods
@@lostrangerjosh8680 Halo with ODST Helljumpers and Spartans...dude. Star Wars with AT-AT's and Boba Fett...BRO.
Also, something I definitely think needs to be a thing is a mod based on the Extinction Survival books.
The massive scale battle between the 11th MEU and the Variants at the Battle of the Forum, and the defense/evacuation of Coronado Island would be the perfect settings for an RTS experience like Broken Arrow here.
My one gripe with this game is the fact you have to micro EVERYTHING. I shouldn’t have to *tell* a pilot to fire flares when a missile is bearing down on them, it should be automatic.
agreed
Maybe a mix of both? Like they do it on their own, but their timing isn't as good as micro would be?
@@daviddobarganes9115 It actually is like this. At least it was like that in the previous obt, the way you have said
13:22 "You cant escape freedom buddy" 😂
Overall I *love* this game. It does need a couple features desperately, though.
First, it needs customizable controls. I saw no way in the menu or in the game a way to change key-bindings.
Second, it needs a line of sight tool.
Third, units need to be "smarter" with cover, transports, and defense. In this game it is absolutely tedious to have units use cover and transports. It is similarly tedious to have units use smoke, countermeasures, and the like when confronted by the enemy.
I, the commander, should not have to tell a plane to drop flares when a missile is coming for it. I shouldn't have to tell infantry to find cover when bullets and mortars are raining down on them. Units should do this automatically. Further, World in Conflict had a "board nearest transport" button for infantry. This game absolutely needs this feature.
I think I saw in another video that the countermeasures are automatic, but because it's a demo, it came as a bug. It makes me think that maybe other features are already in the full game but not in the demo
also symbols for each unit like if they're hiding in a forest and haven't been discovered yet
Sadly, they are currently calling this an Alpha which makes me think we are going to have to wait a while. It is awesome so far though, like, you want to keep replaying the demo.
Would be better off than just releasing it sooner. There's definitely still some work left to be done, particularly in adding more units.
On Steam the release says 2023, but I got me a feeling it's going to be at the end of the year. Game looks sick. Can't wait for it.
@@dylanmelotti4301 Same
yep I was thinking there's no way we're going to see this in 2023, the demo is good but from what I've seen there's still a lot of work to do
Much work needed to be done, that is, like:
-Adding some additional units for both sides (I don't see any B-52s, B-2s, and F-16s in the Arsenal menu, but there could also be more omitted units that I don't know about, they should be added when the full game comes out.
-The Map could be made much bigger and altered because it is based on a real-life location (Baltiysk, Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia), and its road and building layout is also inaccurate to the real-life map. Or maybe the map itself won't be changed, but given that it will have full mod support, someone might be determined to make a true and accurate 1:1 rendering of the entire Demo map according to what's shown in satellite images of the area.
-As noted by some comments in here, different types of missiles should have different behaviors based on where it is fired. If any missile were to hit trees, they should explode, so it would be unwise to fire at enemy targets if any foliage is between them. There should also be behaviors that will affect wire-guided missiles like TOWs to an extent.
-It might be a very complex thing to add, but what if break-ins and house-to-house clearing is featured in the game. When invading a building occupied by the enemy, the building can become transparent, and then allow the commander to see the progress of their troops as they clear out room by room. And the success of such clearings will depending on the health, numbers, weaponry, and armaments of both the invading and defending troops, so whoever has higher health, more troops, better weapons, and better defensive equipment will win, either in successfully taking the building, or defending it from the enemy.
-This may only be for very big maps and it might also be a very redundant thing to add, but a fuel system can be in place, so as to prevent commanders from just rushing all the way with their vehicles, aircraft and ships (If they'll eventually be added and if there's naval maps to fight in).
For ground vehicles and some helicopters, the supply vehicles will also provide a separate cargo for fuel, and any vehicle or helicopter in the area can thus refuel from there.
For aircraft, there can be Tanker planes like the KC-135 that can loiter around in a safe and distant area, and if the commander wants to continue their airstrikes until their planes run out of ammo, but they don't have the range to go all the way to their objectives, the Tanker can come in and refuel them until they are back to full. That should mean that when an aircraft is summoned into the battlefield, they can come at a slightly less percentage of fuel (Like say, 75% to 50%), and if the commander wants them to remain in the airspace, then refueling them is the way to ensure that.
And if ships would be added, then there can be supply ships that will provide both ammo and fuel via replenishment at sea.
Again, this idea will be very complex and will not make sense, (After all, this is just a game, no need to handle some real-life problems that the Military have to act on), but if it should be implemented, then I can only hope that it's implemented well.
Overall however, the game looks very promising, and I hope that it will actually do well once it's fully out. Hopefully by then, I get a highly-advanced desktop or laptop unit to be able to play that game to the fullest.
I love that infantry is actually a scary unit for vehicles
As they should be. Unlike war game where they are just paper units that soak up damage
just like in WOrld in conflicts where Anti tank Units and infantry Units alone can hold out a massive armored push
This game feels like its going to leave Steel Division, Wargame, Warno, Regiments behind. The demo has been extremely good fun.
Warno still feels better and more comprehensible
warno and broken arrow are great, we just need more pact nations in warno
@@JukeboxOddities than what? A game that hasn’t even been released yet? Lol
@@JukeboxOddities are u really comparing alpha build - demo version to a Warno? lmfao
@@greytillgraveee No man, it was not a comparison. It was an observation.
Something that might help the devs to move into the right direction with their game.
World in conflict vibes from this game. Excited for the release.
The game might be rough for now, but when it's THIS badass...I am 100% happy to come along for the ride as it gets developed and fixed. Most times I have no patience, and would rather check back in every couple months for a status update...but this game is basically what I've been waiting for the last several years. I'm beyond pumped!
man this game is nasty. Nasty in the best way possible
The explosions in this game sound so satisfying, idk why but I just love the impact sound the arty makes when it explodes
The speedy running animation when time is slowed is so goofy, I love it. For the sake of immersion/realism, I hope they (and assume they will) fix it, but I *almost* hope they don’t
I need them to take my money. I want to literally shower this dev team in every dime I can spare. I NEEEEEEED this
I think Recon and Artillery was the way for the first half, multiple artillery pieces spam on enemy building send marines in rinse repeat.
can buildings be destroyed?
@@awakeandwatching953 yes ! not are amazing fx but its ok
As somebody that knows something about missiles, those Dragon troops were shooting the graphical representation of a TOW missile.
The dragons are retired so thought it was a little weird to see
@@jakXDbaby I concur. But this game seems to be 90s era
Or early 2000s
@@Raptorias It's supposed to be current day, but it's a bit weird. The Russians have SU-57s and T14s in their arsenal, while the US have F35s and, weirdly, F14 Tomcats and M60 tanks.
The timeline of this game is strange, but at least it looks great.
Yeah the f35 is what made me think current, but if ww3 broke out we’d probably bust out the dragons again at some point so maybe that’s the logic
For a demo it’s fantastic, it’s really difficult to keep any vehicle alive and it’s frustrating. I wish the time to kill on friendly armor was slightly longer.
I believe that a good polish would be to add destructible environments and have black smoke from the fires that are caused by a dedtroyed Tanks, Vehicles, Ships, or Buildings rise to the sky. Just to give it that Aesthetic War like feel.
I love how every chance the marines get the slam a rocket down the enemy’s throat either a Recon or a tank or a infantry squad
I really can't wait to see other nations being added.
China (i mean, obviously), France (their hole Scorpion military plan is really something, also with a different strategy with cheaper easy-to-produce super modular platform, can give some really interesting new tactics and strategics options. Also their new MMP/Akeron really is a deadly addition to their impressive new light vehicles and reco-tank plateform), Germany (T51 Panther please ! Their MBTs are epic) etc...
And maybe some coastal form of sea war maybe ?
Could y’all imagine a halo mod or something for this? Odst? Scorpions? Fuck it would be so cool, this game in of itself is awesome!
Have you played halo wars?
Have you played halo wars ?
@@joetrusiak1560 I have but a modern remake of it would be great
Ngl, the sounds in this game sounds powerful and loud which is how it should be.
I really like them
He said. “You can’t escape freedom 😂”
Actually, I took a look at the satellite imagery of the actual area that's featured in the Demo (which would be Baltiysk, Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia), and while the devs really did made the map almost resemble the area, it is far smaller and more different than in reality, most especially with the road and building layout being vastly different from the satellite images of the area. For one, the fort is much bigger than in the game, has a smaller moated area to the northwest of its star fortification, and also has a cemetery or a series of memorials and a few buildings in there. The port area to the east is also much larger in real-life, and has its cargo area much further east from the fort itself. There also seems to be no racetrack sports complex and the 2 lakes are absent at the southern peninsula, and finally, there's a memorial building to the west of the fort, near the shore in real life that's absent in the game's map.
There may be many more buildings and other features from the real-life area that's either altered or outright omitted in the game's Demo, and it may take forever to list them all, but the point is, the map isn't a 1:1 recreation of the whole area itself, for understandable reasons like engine and game limitations, PC spec limitations, and whatnot.
Maybe when the full game is out and people start making custom maps and mods, they may probably redo the Demo with a 1:1 recreation of the area in real-life, using satellite imagery, street maps, and other means of obtaining enough information to create the entire area from scratch to resemble what it looks like in real life. However, it will drastically change the tactics of how one will be clearing the mission, as well as making a much larger map that may be taxing on even the most powerful PC units, but it may be worth if if you clear the mission and see just how far you made it all throughout.
it never will be 1:1 its an arcade game
You seriously expecting a 1:1 map in an alpha demo?!
@@yostupidmama1 If it can come out as a mod by someone, sure. I'm not exactly expecting a 1:1 map, I'm just saying that it isn't due to game limitations of several kinds. Don't take me as the complaining kind.
@@andrewbutler5253 At least officially yes. But if a modder is ambitious enough, it can be done
This game should get more popularity. I wish I could play it.
One thing I have to say, the A-222 Bereg Is a 130mm, not 152mm gun
broken arrow is like if war thunder was an rts game
My dream has been a new world in conflict game. I'm just happy I've lived long enough to see something similar come to foruation
i would wish for a simple game like R.U.S.E. like an arcade game rather than an overwhelming sim
Believe it or not you can split the supplies! The truck you used to call in the dragons can take supplies from the stockpile and move it elsewhere while leaving the large stockpile there, or helos can take and carry supplies from stockpiles. It’s pretty damned awesome!
The premise for this mission is odd, but it otherwise is awesome. A single SA-300 site and an arty battery would be really easy work for the US Navy.
loved seeing the Dragon systems in use i was a dragon gunner/squad leader in the Marines along with being a TOW gunner good stuff. they put in max/min ranges here awsome.
0352 bois. Was really focusing on those as well.

only thing i really have a complaint about is that the flairs dont launch automatically
That’s a bug, auto flares were in an older build
This looks exactly like most people commenting, a less arcady world in conflict. Still more action focused but within reason.
Oh man you mentioned my favorite RTS’s, Wargame and World in Conflict. Now I’m gonna watch the rest of this video!!
God this game was so fun, I can't wait for the full thing!
Looks like the game has potential 🥶💯
I've never been this excited for a game tbh.
Worst thing about these games is how they bring out just 2 factions then bring out 20 later as DLC which annoys the hell out of me!
I’m so excited to give this game a shot. Thanks Raptor!
“Freedom delivery system.” Yes, ‘cause every war we wage is in the name of “freedom.”
This game looks awesome
World in Conflict: Soviet Assault was the additional DLC to the first World in Conflict game. Do the units gain experience and upgrades as the game progresses?
Needs a base building aspect, defensive areas machine gun nest or sand bags and factory’s to redeploy units faster like the game RUSE.
This looks really good!
A Star Wars mod for this would be awesome.
If you ever played World in Conflict… this game is just like it!!!! Exactly the same!!!!! Will be fun!!!!
I can't take my eyes off the running track, it looks like Among Us...
Interesting I've never played this type of game
Can’t wait to play the full game .
doesn't look bad at all... been waiting 4 this type of games! just hope they add also some 1st person movement controls and views to units like in Call to Arms.
Did the developers give any idea when this game might be released. Is it the kind of game I can expect to play at some point in 2023 or when my grandkids come round to see me 50 yrs from now :)
Yes, will be released this year
they say 2023 but they also said 2022 then moved it to 2023. I'm guessing it will release for real in 2024
This is the most promising RTS game than Regiments, company of hero’s 3, and upcoming Men of War 3
Broken Arrow is a call (or request) for all available combat aircraft to attack enemy positions, even those close to the position of US troops. The reason for calling in that order, is because a US position is being overrun and can no longer be defended. Another definition is an unexpected event involving nuclear weapons that result in the accidental launching, firing, detonating, theft, or loss of the weapon
you cant escape freedom buddy
thats a gold line
that game looks incredible..
Can’t wait for the actual game. I will buy on day one
Yes yes yes. Modded like oh MW2 and have that sound track with the radio chatter. I would be so down.
Each time I play this, it just gets better. Even with the few issues in the demo. I seriously can’t wait for the full game!
im addicted......

I honestly can't wait to see what Nukes will look like in this game. World in Conflict did that sort of WW3 scale really well, and I hope Broken Arrow will be able to live up to that! BA definitely looks cleaner, and less gritty/dark than WIC does.
It's like a better modern COH, I PRAY this game turns out good because I grew up on COH
sorry for my previous comment I like the way to move the troops to minimize the casualty

I like how up to date the USMC units are, but they're gonna have to change what weapons Force recon uses because now they have RWK M4A1's. Which is basically an HK416 but with an improved upper reciever

World in Conflict looked better. Also the campaign story was so detailed and fun. Such a cool story. Russian invasion during the cold war in the 80’s. The game begins in Seattle. That was more than a decade ago. WIC was before its time.
Reminds me of an up to date Command and Conquer - Generals. May be worth a look once out of demo.
So am just curious, raptor is most likely running this on a PC, is there any gaming laptop can that run this and if there is any if peeps can please name a few. Thank you
World in conflict what a game…
It's different and you can get wiped out if you're not careful of unit placement and hitting the keys to deploy smoke or flares
THIS IS INSAME DREAMING GAME.
Keep your recon concealed, ahead, and eyes on, shouldn't engage unless in contact(additionally assisting friendly contact). Try out disabling the auto attack. Could have utilized your LAV25 earlier, to support the infantry, ideal for hunting down bdrm2s as long as they're safe from heavy armor.
