Wow, that door design is very intriguing. Ive been working on a shelter and the door has been the biggest problem. Im thinking of doing a wooden frame with a woven reed interior. And that hand auger just made me realize exactly what i want to do with it. Loved the vid!

In one vid he posted this year, he returned to an older build he'd made to grab some supplies and stuff he'd left in that previous build (i.e. a tarp, scrap metal pipe, etc.). I think it was his above ground fishing hut he'd built to combat sudden water levels rising in that area.

It's a good shelter, but I like the rock shelter better, it's more secure❤
The work he does is great however I saw the way the North Vietnamese Soldiers worked the earth doing tranches,the walls were straight and pretty 😊as picture perfect. They were patient on
On the other hand we dug foxholes that were just holes. This guy is very good at using branches and logs to make the shelter.

Maybe add a front porch made of sticks infront of the door with a staircase so that it's not difficult for you to go up and down of the shelter. Just an idea.
