    Their confidence is off the charts. They aren't afraid to be weird and truly creative, and that's what makes this such a true piece of art. Years later from the first time I watched this, I'm in awe at how perfect and intuitive their movements are. They've probably put thousands and thousands of hours into practice on top of genetic talent. I'm not even into dancing and this performance is more inspiring than most Ted talks.

    They aren't just dancing. They're making jokes, they're talking to each other, to everyone of us. They're showing how happy they are, how sad they are. They're crying and joking, expressing themselves and that's freaking beautiful.

    Anyone who doesn't see the amount of raw emotion on Laurent's face during his solo and says this is not one of his best, or that this is recycled, simply does not have an eye for dance. You clearly are unable to see what some of us see. Just like people who don't understand the subtle strokes of a magnificent painter. They both have reached a level where their minds are no longer involved, but embody the music. Look closer, Did you even see how he puffed his cheeks in the beginning and mentally just exited? No. So look closer at the details. No, closer than that as well. Laurent outshined his brother on this one. They both did well though. But Laurent... Even Larry was in awe, and he's seen him dance his whole life... "He's a beast right here!" Well done sir!

Hyped up dancing, trendy moves at the time, but this? This was just an amazing performance of art, music and dance. Simply amazing. I am happy they ended up getting their success and recognition in the years to come, it was truly well deserved.

      Deanna Ross Getting the chills refers to that feeling you get when you experience something awesome, like a wave of pleasure going down your spine - also sometimes causes goosebumps, like cold does, hence 'the chills'. It's actually the result of dopamine being released inside your brain in order to focus your attention & memory on something you find stimulating.

    I find it really funny how every single Les Twins WOD performance leaves every other WOD performance in the dust: both with views and number of people impressed. Then again what can you expect from two of the best in the game? My boys killing it once more.

    I was 15 when I first watched this. Back then Laurent’s solo didn’t really entertain me, I thought it was weird and off beat. I’m 22 now. The song they danced to at the beginning of the video is trending on TikTok and it made me watch this video again. Now I see Laurent’s solo is beautiful and intrusive and literally soul snatching. Sometimes when you’re young you don’t understand certain things, you aren’t as sharp with details. But now….this is, art.

    All I see is people saying who did better or who stood out more. Is it just me or do you think they BOTH stood out? Both their solos hit me hard and I couldn't even think about picking a "favorite" or how most of you like to call it. I like both their styles. They wouldn't be the same without each other. Sometimes its even hard for me to watch one dance without the other behind them or close by.

    • @hitomi2oo710
      @hitomi2oo710 9 лет назад +8

      Breanna N Lopez I wonder if all those ppl doing the 'comparing' (which btw is really silly considering how different their own dancing styles are from each other) forgot that Les Twins brilliancy is based on the perfect mix of Laurent's & Larry's individual dance styles and mending them in to the unique Les Twins style. What they do in here is work of two not just one twin so putting down one twin in favor of the other is just unpleasant to watch... but what can you do? Everyone has their own preferences and freedom to voice them out. At least we two don't have bias and think that both were outstanding in here ;) When they dance it's like watching dance of soul-mates and it's beautiful every single time. I don't have time to quarrel over 'who is better' like some other fans, I'm more focused on appreciating the work/dance of both of them and actually enjoying it. Peace.

    Craziest thing is, that as much as they're celebrated now. The French dance world used to despise them.
    Their first ever battle in their hometown (Sarcelles), turned out to be a setup, they got jumped and stripped naked, because what they were doing "wasnt hip hop"
    After years of fighting they finally became loved. Before they got on stage at the 2010 Juste Debout (Dance olympics) prelims, people were asking for autographs, pictures, and begging them to come to their school. Once they got done they were boo'd by the whole crowd. They had changed their style so drastically that they lost all the respect from the hip hop world in France.
    People were so jealous that Beyonce said she was looking for them for 2 years, but the people that knew them never helped the team find them

    I am 68 and would love to see them in a live battle / show anything, they must put so much effort and practise into their passion. They have to live , eat breath and dream dance. I am glad that they get the recognition they deserve, it hasn’t come easy they have earned every penny and accolade. Much kudos to them both. 🇬🇧🥰💕

    These two ... so amazing. I love both their choreographed performances and their freestyling---the former has such _polish_, while the latter is so impressive it's hard to believe they aren't telepathic. Maybe I'm the only one, but I'd _love_ to see them drop a dark, super high-tempo, epic instrumental into the middle of one of their setlists --- imagine if that sick machine-gun drumbeat from Inception's "Mombasa" dropped out of nowhere; they'd kill it, and the crowd would go apeshit.

    • @1Nerd0Nerd
      @1Nerd0Nerd 9 лет назад +1

      They ARE telepathic! Larry said in an interview that he and his brother had a moment of telepathy during one of their most c successful battles, the Juste Debout semifinal. Kinda cool, huh? :P

    • @eunomiac
      @eunomiac 9 лет назад +1

      Dee Gee No, telepathy would cheapen their skill---it'd be like cheating. Thankfully there's no such thing, so they're just awesome.

    • @1Nerd0Nerd
      @1Nerd0Nerd 9 лет назад

      I mean, yeah. Telepathy is cheating, but that still doesn't detract from what Larry said in his interview. He might have meant that his connection w/ his brother helped them, not telepathy. But that's the problem with language barriers: we can only guess what he meant. But you're right, they're awesome! haha

    • @eunomiac
      @eunomiac 9 лет назад +2

      Dee Gee
      We can do better than guess: I assure you, there's no such thing as telepathy. I mean, sure, it's _possible_, but it's also "possible" that they have invisible leprechauns on their shoulders whispering dance moves into their ears. No, it's the subconscious, symbiotic connection between twins with singular talents that we have the privilege to watch---a phenomenon so much more impressive and interesting than cheap parlour tricks, n'est pas?

    This is hands down the most impressive dance routine I've ever seen. And I didn't even see it all yet as I will have to replay few more times before I'm even able to see every detail of this crazy detailed set. Amazing, simply amazing.

      I just watched chain low for the 100 th time, then came to this video... It's not even comparable... What is this crap? it looks an unpolished high school talent show routine.. I'll never understand the fascination with these two... never

    This is something I will always be able to comeback too and say damn. But to be honest they've revolutionized dance in so many ways. I've seen so many dancers over the years and to be short. There's not another dancer that truly comes close to what these two have done and are doing. Absolutely the most outstanding dancers to ever live, it's undeniable.

      Have you seen the Nicholas Brothers? Talent has always been around it's just super rare when it's lightning in a bottle! These guys are modern day entertainers in a way that channels the best of the forefathers of dance
