Hmm not really. Also the Deepseaa incredible as it is, it’s designed to withstand pressures of up to 3,900 meters (370 atmosphere) which is hardly the deepest part of the ocean, when a big chunk of it still exists all the way to 11,000 meters On the other hand space is a different monster. You’re looking at a place with extreme temperatures (there’s more than 250 C degrees difference between light and shadow), ultraviolet radiation, ionizing radiation from solar proton events and cosmic rays, atomic oxygen in LEO, micrometeoroids and orbital debris (MMOD) and so on. There’s a reason why special space grade operated equipment were developed and certified even for the most simple tasks and even after all that some of those don’t survive.
Well... After all. James Cameron doesn't do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because James Cameron is James Cameron!
I was on the verge of buying a Submariner when I stumbled across an ad for the James Cameron Deepsea Deep Blue….that changed my mind in an instant and I’ve loved the watch for the last six years and it’s a keeper I’ll pass to my son when I’m gone!
I did a lot of research for mine also. My AD got it much quicker that I thought they would. As soon as I tried it on, I said, “I’ll take it!” I will never sell it. I’ll pass it on as well.
@@bertraminc9412 yeah, in 2016 my AD said it would be 18-24 months before the watch would arrive…I got the call just six weeks after that conversation and it was an instant purchase!
And to get one of these watches, you have to go to an AD, buy 20 tudors, get on a waiting list and in 5 years you might get one, but if someone as famous as James Cameron comes by and slaps bands on the table, you will have to wait another 5 years. great watch, but Rolex ADs are killing the brand.
Probably easier to find a Rolex at the bottom of the sea than an AD. Actually you can get it from your AD in India if you pay them a cash only premium! 😉
One of My favorite watches to wear. Swimming with my children in oceans, lakes or even the pool it is one thing I enjoy and will pass on to my son. Thank you Rolex
Can't afford a Rolex but just here to say that 'the way of water ' was phenomenal. It's unfair that it wasn't nominated for cinematography and sound category at the Oscars🤬
He wasn't wearing the "deep blue" when he went down the trench...he was wearing the black dial deep sea...Thats the one to get..The blue dial is tacky and rather feminine
This man is one of humanities best...as a proud owner of a Submariner I consider it to be the perfect watch and will be on my wrist for the rest of my life.
your top executives (dudes that decides which watches to discontinue) should ask James Cameron what he thinks of the SD4K being discontinued to make place for the SD42
I’m sure that chief wanted a ridiculously expensive Rolex instead of maybe extra food or some useful resources for his people. Here is a watch you can stare at all day. I thought it would serve you better than supplies or provisions for you and your people
James Cameron is a deep sea diver who makes movies as a side hobby.
❤
Engineering towards reaching deep oceans is more challenging than reaching the moon...
Just flat out wrong

Incrível 🎉
James Cameron is 1 smart cookie.
You sure can sell a watch, James. 👏
I’m convinced!
Well... After all. James Cameron doesn't do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because James Cameron is James Cameron!
Lol
I suspect I have a better chance of seeing the deepest depths of the ocean than getting a watch from my AD

With all thats going on in the World watching this restores my faith in Humans and what we can overcome and achieve ❤
I ordered this watch I love it
LUCKY TO HAVE SUCH A LEGEND,AS A SPOKESPERSON. WHERE EXCELLENCE MEETS EXCELLENCE.

He does not have a big wrist. He pulls the deepsea off nicely.
Correct...it's not for everybody, only for those with a fairly big wrist...
He’s 6’2. His wrists aren’t small.
It's probably cheaper to go to the bottom of the ocean than it is to buy that watch.
Bom trabalho
I have had a Seadweller for 20 years Never been deeper than 30ft though!
An Oyster Perpetual Date 34 of 40 years old, would do the job. But your Sea Dweller is much more robust.
👏👏 well made JC.

BEST OF THE BEST WATCH
James Cameron is one of kind
I'm a fan of James's work 😊
Just like the floating door at the end of Titanic, I'm afraid it's just too big.
I’m sure James Cameron can pull that off
It’s not for you, mate. Unless you’re a diver
@@percygrow9390 Truly how many people who wear Subs are divers, I venture to say not many!
ROLEX BEST OF THE BEST
He has been a huge inspiration for me.

I’m convinced but I gotta save up. See y’all in 10 years!
Great. How long do I have to wait after ordering to get one?
Fantástico 👏👏👏❤
Wow that’s some timepiece
Very good 👏👏
Interessante ❤
Did he come up with this himself? or is he reading off a prompter? Either way, nice ad James.
A great story and a great watch. Too big for my wrist though at 50mm
Is a G-SHOCK too big
Rolex AD in 2059: we have the watch you were waiting on.
Me: I'm dead you idiots. 👻
“it’s not a watch you own, it’s a watch you earn” I mean yes
Can't afford a Rolex but just here to say that 'the way of water ' was phenomenal. It's unfair that it wasn't nominated for cinematography and sound category at the Oscars🤬
SLak bircok kisinin yetmiyor
What a story ❤
The deep blue is my favourite Rolex I will own this watch !!!!!!💞💖💞
He wasn't wearing the "deep blue" when he went down the trench...he was wearing the black dial deep sea...Thats the one to get..The blue dial is tacky and rather feminine
The blue dial fading to black on the Cameron is spectacular.
Remember the Timex Indiglo? I might like to get my hands on one of those.
Important ❤🎉
1959-1969 photos clearly show Swiss oceanographer Dr Jacques Piccard often wearing two Rolex watches, one on each wrist !
Muito bom 👏👏👏👏
What a beautiful video!!
Only a billionaire could afford it now. A regular submariner is expensive,I can’t imagine how much this one costs.
Shod be around US$23000+-
Direct competition from Apple Watch Ultra made this watch......
This man is one of humanities best...as a proud owner of a Submariner I consider it to be the perfect watch and will be on my wrist for the rest of my life.
I'll feel privileged and proud wearing my Sea-Dweller in the bath tub tonight.
😀LOL😀
Very Nice
Super interessante mesmo
Stop advertising your watches when I literally can't even buy one from a store--it's just cruel. Like Cartman's theme park.
Poor.?
“Strenuous Hollywood award ceremonies”
🎉🎉 incredible tech..hi tech révolution....
The brushing on that titanium is fantastic! Do I hear a titanium submariner for the 70th anniversary next year???? 😁👍🫡👊
Top top top,eu amei
My Invicta sub can go to the bottom of my 5ft deep pool just fine. That's as deep as I want to go.
It’s a work watch!
I love these stories gives so much more meaning to the watch
潜入深海,极致探险!💖💖💖🎉🎉🎉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great.
Inspiring, thank you JC.
Cool 👌
"It's not merely a watch you own" ... Yeah cause no AD would sell it to you
Fine, you like Rolex. Now please release "The Abyss: Special Edition" in 4K please!
Sure the watch can endure the pressure, but did it keep time while in contact with the deep ocean currents?.
I want those 2 models.
Rolex is the iPhone of watches.
So is your mother
Incredible.
Nice
More unobtainable new watches !
your top executives (dudes that decides which watches to discontinue) should ask James Cameron what he thinks of the SD4K being discontinued to make place for the SD42
I almost sold by sub once. So happy I didn’t. It’s going to my first born ❤
A Sinn ux hydro would do the job.
stunning time piece with Wait time even greater than mariana trench
I think this watch is gorgeous but I own a 36 datejust my dad got me for my birthday. And I’ll never own another I’ll stick with my datejust
The Omega Ultra Deep all of sudden seems small 🤔
Good sense
Incrível
Love you Jim
Very cool!
❤❤❤❤❤
It is truly groundbreaking
Omega went deeper. Just saying 😊
I really want a Submariner.
❤❤❤
I can’t believe they just put the watch on the _outside_ of the submarine. Why not; just make it thick, and send it down.
Cameron 💙
That watch probably cost more than the ocean
No date, real class.
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🥰❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥💯
❤❤
He’s aging like a fine wine….
❤❤🎉
So the new Sea Dweller will be in in Titanium?
The deep-sea dweller will be titanium.
I knew it. Its a mini wall clock. Not a watch 2:35 😁

How utterly patronising…..
Very nice watch but if you need to wear a watch like that on the inside of the submarine, it's leaking...
Imagine if you could actually buy one!
It may as well be fictitious, for the chance of ever having one.
Goals are never fictitious. We achieve not by chance, but by choice.
Can someone loan me $10,000??? I really want this watch
