I got buell as Arthur, I didn't know about him until the quest line was completed. I knew Arthur had a cutacene with his horse. But I didnt get it. I almost died standing iver his body trying to at least get one look at him. His old handler said he saw a few battles. And even though I didn't get to say good bye it still felt right. One last good fight for the old men.
U can get a bunch of buells if u just bump into him then jump on to him then take him to camp then fast travel to someplace near camp, come back, then u will be able to saddle him

Don't know why but the game won't let you always bond before getting to camp. My last replay didn't registrate the feeding, petting and brushing. Going to camp always work.
I think they patched this. I made a video like this about a year ago, but now when I try the horse takes forever to move then can't trigger the jump horse option.

@@VouDormirAteJa Problem is that some birds have stable spawn points, like the Blue Jay, pelicans, pigeons, geese, etc. They all have their own locations where they always can be found, spawn guaranteed. The Robin is unfortunaly in the other group. They can spawn on a lot of locations but never a 100% chance, not even 30%.
I did wonder if that was the problem. Had a lot of goes at jumping while running too, but couldn’t get it to work. I can do the MFT, but Buell…😅 Well, I’ll try again then

Slightly reduced my frustration at the many MANY tries by realising that you don’t have to reload, just run a little distance away and then back again, as Buell will have respawned.
@@h4seeb Fox Trotter by the shooting method, you can repeat that and the Black Arabian you can get in Saint Denis. As long as you don't interact with the robbery, you can rince and repeat.

It hasn't been patched. Make sure you riding close enough for the "jump on horse" prompt. If it stops you don't get the prompt and thus can't jump on it's back.

Cool, got to try this. I am on pc (Steam version) and still in chapter 2. Can I also do this? Because I came by the veteran's cabin already with neither him nor the horse in sight. I actually accidentally looted his house before realizing it was the veteran's cabin. When I realised it was his cabin, I made sure to get out of there quick before possibly triggering any events. Also a question: Not every Dutch Warmblood is as good as another right? Because I happened to come across a Dutch Warmblood for sale for $450 at the Valentine stable in chapter 2 already, and I bought it inmediately, but its base stats seems slightly lower then Buel's. Still a very good horse though. PS. Is that Micah's hat you're wearin'?
*spoiler alert* The veteran missions will not be available untill chapter 6. And i'm wearing the Legend of the East outfit. A bonus outfit for completing all challenges in game. Normaly not available for Arthur but i found a way to get it without cheating. Check my other videos for getting items early in game, no cheats.

Don't know if it's been patched but buell doesn't move a muscle if you ram into him. I tried trowing a molotov near him aswell and shooting but he doesn't move, he just gets agitated but stays hitched
So I completed the final mission and I didn’t take buell back with me I rode away with my normal horse. I looked back at the exact point we’re gaming died and left buell. How do I get him
I actually managed to jump onto Buell, but just as I pressed G to calm him down and praise him, he bucked me. Let's hope I get it the next time. Edit : I managed to get on to him in the same try by the same method, only the stupidity was as I reached camp, instead of pressing and holding E I accidentally just pressed it and I got off. No fricking horse hitching for me. :( Gonna try it again rn!
@@Zennique it does work. Just got to ride it back to his ranch once John unlocks that hitch at Beecher’s. Just beware it is a long ride back. Once got attacked by a cougar which knocked me off. And other time ran into a damn npc riding a horse. But it works 😂😂
As long as you don't do all the Hamish missions, Buell will be still available after stealing him. Do the final mission as John so he can his own Buell.

I prefer getting Buell in chapter 4 with the cheat and Bronte save, but this is nice. Of course the cheat gives you a female Buell which is weird, but I can overlook it.

@@SYROX.999 The white Arabian is much simpler to get. No need for running in to her and if she dies, she will respawn at the same place you found her after a couple of ingame days.
If you stop after the third encounter, horse retrieval, fishing and the wolf hunt, you can do the last one as John. You can even stop after the horse retieval and do all others as John.
As long as you don't do the missions, Buell will be at the cabin. If you want, you can do the method 4 times and you can fill your stables with 4 Buells.

U don't have to go all the way to the camp, all u do is bond the horse first then save and reload bo matter where u are

You can get multiple ones if you choose. Currently I have 2 of them.
Had a full stable once and a temporary.
Same as the Black Arabian and the Missouri Fox Trotter.
You can repeat infinte times.
