I communicated with Xiaomi Support via their X account and then through the Feedback in setting (at the bottom) about the camera unable to switch between front and back camera while recording. They replied saying "We have included your suggestion and will communicate with the product PM to consider whether to add this feature in subsequent product updates. Thank you very much for your valuable suggestions." The more Xiaomi 14 owners request this feature the better chance they will add it.
Actually you can use manual settings shooting RAW on the 14. If you are shooting in Ultra RAW you can't. But Shooting RAW 50mp on the main camera gives you control over SS and ISO and everything else.
In camera settings there's a option for you to set the exposure to your face or whole scene its called metering. So yeah they didn't look over the front cam

In the Xiaomi 14 I can't switch the selfie camera to back camera and visa versa when recording. Have to stop recording them switch the camera lens and restart recording. Really hope Xiaomi can fix this with an update.
I did that 9 years ago to get the moisture out of my Sony Xperia phone. Opened the sim tray and turned on the camera to heat it up internally 🤣 worked 👌🏼

You have shared wrong information regarding settings for iso,shutter etc That we cannot change in RAW mode It's actually you can change in RAW mode But you cannot change in Ultra RAW for Regular 14.

I am in the same boat. I'll never pay that much for a phone and the size of 90% of phones is to big IMO. I am still going for 14 since it's better in all these photo features than Samsung Apple and better priced. If you wanna wait for Ultra to be better priced you will have to wait for release of 15 and get a used Ultra. And who knows how much of these software things will be added by update to 14 and how many will 15 add.

I do own rather old Redmi Note 10 Pro now and really wanted the next phone to be the best upgrade in all sense. So i was expecting to get one 1" sensor phone, because i'm a part photographer. The Xiaomi 13 U was my candidate, but 14 just filled all checks except the 1" and smaller size. 14 U is too much, rather Samsung S24 Ultra is still cheaper than it in my place.

More than a bit disappointed that i can only get custom profiles in Ultra😢😢 That was one of the biggest upgrades to ohoto mode I was looking forward to in 14😢 Still gonn aget it as uts the most capable of all flagships in features etc... The raw mode where you can't adjust exposure sounds more like than a deliberate ommision. That is crazy😅
YOU CAN CHANGE IT IN THE SETTINGS!! its called metering in camera settings which will let you choose if you want to set exposure so that the face is brigher or set the correct exposure for the whole scene

That rattling sound should only be while the camera app is not active. When the camera engages the lenses should lock and not rattle. That's what my Mi 11 does.
8:36 4k120 on the 14 Ultra looks more like 720p@120 to my eyes, it looks very digital and overprocessed, which on Sony Xperia phone it looks like a proper camera

no it wont as matter of fact i purchased the green varient which has the same material as the white but the black varient is matt balck but the green does collect a lot of finger print but putting it in a case doent really matter :)

Disappointed with the fogging lens issues with the Xiaomi 14, it's N expensive phone and least Xiaomi could have done is try rectify the problem instead of ditching the phone.
Open the sim tray, start a video record on 8K and let it record for an hour or so, let the phone heat up, the moisture will escape, and then put back the sim slot, congratulations, you just solved the lens fogging issue
I have same issue and I had kept it in silica ball for 1 week every night by removing sim card but still fogging issue not solved please please please help me 😢 please

Front camera is the main deal breaker for me. I use front camera as much as rear cameras.
As far as front camera is concerned, the iPhone’s is still unbeaten.
What can you adjust in custom photo presets?
Shadows? Tone curve? Saturation?

The AI part is clearly added in the ultra for separation between flagships, since both uses the same chip

you can adjust exposure in RAW in the 14. I think he's confusing RAW and Ultra RAW.
I bought regular 14 and you can setup as many custom profiles in pro as you like!

Currently on Xiaomi 14, sensors are inferior to Sony yet the Ultra is too large, why can't they fit proper hardware in the small phone aswell

Selfie is terrible because omnivision selfie sensors are awful from first to last sensor

Bigger screen and variable aperture and of course only available in China, the 14 pro
You can import the 14 pro to wherever you are. I use a 14 pro in USA with TMobile without issues.

I haven't seen the 13 but my Xiaomi 14 pro's recording is absolutely incredible. I have not picked up my DSLR camera since I bought this.
