Is it possible to make my Prius Prime Navigation System work like a Garmin with the arrow always pointing up and ahead in the direction the car is going instead of down or east/west like a map is drawn?

The short answer is yes. I don't have the screen or handbook in front of me, but I think it is done by hitting one of the buttons on top, left, either the one showing heading, or may be the "option" one that appears at times. The display can be North-always-up or Garmin-style, either flat or in "3-D" mode.

I have this car in Amman, Jordan imported from usa, neither navigation, maps nor apps appear on the screen, i tried many ways and contacted Toyota co. but no way. Can someone tell me how to fix these please!!!
The maps and their updates are established on microchips accessed below the bottom of the screen. As far as I know, they are only available for North America.
You've probably figured it out by now, but just in case... Since it appears Toyota doesn't want to spend any money to actually make new software in two decades, it's likely the same: from the nav screen, press the speaker button. Guidance volume should also be in settings.
Which Toyota did...for their NEW cars. The rest of us has to buy very expensive update chips, because the bootleg ones for $20-30 on Amazon only work for the smaller multi-media screens...or would you trust using a 5yr old Rand-McNally?
Love everything about this car, but this is the worse GPS I have ever used.

this should be a class action lawsuit against Toyota. the lower models small screen have more functionality and can be replaced.
Big but cannot useful GPS is very bad do not use it lead you wrong way. Toyota better load android on it.
