Thanks for publishing these, it is a huge help to have an insight into the industry like this. I do have one question I'm hoping you or Jim can answer either here or in a future episode.
There were almost 12,000 ATP licenses awarded in 2023 and the rolling average for 2024 is about 11,000. There are 16,204 forced retirements in the next five years, which means these two years combined already fulfil the demand for pilots, even without the following three year cert numbers. If ATP certs stay consistent for the next five years, there will be 50-55k ATP pilots competing for 16-20k jobs. Am I missing something?
