I love this version. It's so soft. I would often sit by the window and daydream about my "hero", even if he is nonexistent 😅. This song was on repeat and I would constantly sing along.

My grandmother is my hero. She had multiple strokes and lived, she was the strongest person I knew. I wanted to be strong like her.
She was diagnosed with late stage lung cancer that the doctors found on accident. They decided to run another scan and found out she also had late stage brain cancer.
I broke down in tears because she wouldn't live and only had a little while left.
She passed away on September 3, 2016 at 5:30 a.m.
I still miss her and cry, she was my hero and she will always be. She was the greatest person I knew.

love this song, and love this version of this song! Ella Mae's voice is raspy and perfect and the slowness of this song is what makes this version so good, this is a song with lyrics full of pain, longing and raw hurt and emotion and this version truly does that justice.

Heard this on Pandora and got obsessed right away. Found out later original was BT but im not going to lie. The way she slowed the tune down brought out the meaning and significance of it.
