please help I found this review on acer nitro 5 i5 12500- Thermal throttling even when web browsing, expected cinebench23 score was 14000 but got 10000. CPU almost all the time at 100°C sadly the return window expired before I could return. The warranty also started a month early on the website thinking it was a returned product. Fps in games much less then a 73k laptop. Hats off to Acer service. They just can't seem to understand my issue so won't fix it . Now I have to keep it until it becomes a paper weight since it will die early due cpu overheating. Even changing thermal paste by Acer service guy didn't solve the issue since there is almost 1 to 2mm gap in between the die and heatsink. And had to reapply it after realizing the crazy temperatures. My 7 yr old Lenovo y50-70 still turbos to 3 ghz and temps never go above 75°C . 76 people found this helpful The main point I found is 76 people agree with this thing so there is high chance of error please guide me I am going to buy a laptop soon.

I have purchased this Laptop i5 12gen 8gb ram 512gb No problem whatsoever, just the cpu gets a bit hot some times at around 85degrees. But enabling the Max fan speed make this bad boy sound like a Jet with 7000+rpm Also, you cannot upgrade the ram by yourself, i tried to contact the acer service centre in mumbai, but they told me that, upgrading the ram or storage will void warranty. Only one way to upgrade is to take your laptop to service centre and they'll charge 700rs for adding the ram if your have purchased your ram already. guess i'll have to risk my warranty to upgrade this thing.

It depends on room temperature, if room temperature is around 24-25°C then it does not heat more than 90°C and use something to elevate the laptop

No problem whatsoever, just the cpu gets a bit hot some times at around 85degrees.
But enabling the Max fan speed make this bad boy sound like a Jet with 7000+rpm
Also, you cannot upgrade the ram by yourself, i tried to contact the acer service centre in mumbai, but they told me that, upgrading the ram or storage will void warranty.
Only one way to upgrade is to take your laptop to service centre and they'll charge 700rs for adding the ram if your have purchased your ram already.
guess i'll have to risk my warranty to upgrade this thing.

and i have a ac so temp was around 26-27
and at max fan speed the temp was at around 80~ while gaming.
