He will go to the NFL Deion has never been worth his word. The biggest thing is how overrated he is and how everyone jumps on his junk and he is done. Nothing to deserve it.

The media is trying to force, sorry ESPN is trying to force Deion to make a public statement on his future, BUT Deion has given many statements on his future by tell us the world he will NOT coach in the NFL. He said last week on Night Cap with Shannon Sharp that he’s coaching in Colorado. IF Deion was to ever coach in the NFL it would NEVER be in Dallas or New York. The man has made himself clear he loves Colorado. Leave him alone. It’s sad how this network will create fake talking points and use someone’s name for ratings. It’s also sad when viewers believe the talking points as they did with fake news and elected the wrong D person as president because we are now in love with lies.

They are really trying to get Coach Prime out of college football. They see now that he can draw great exposure at a place that had no exposure. They don’t want to see him carve a legendary resume in college football when pundits doubted his abilities to be a difference maker and a leader of young men. They also know that Deion has the ability to draw more NIL possibilities because of his star power, and they are afraid that he will become an even brighter star than he is at this moment.

So staying at Colorado is Deion's backup plan??? So Deion doesn't get a big enough spotlight at CU, huh??? Have you seen the ratings? He said "I don't inherit legacies, I make them". He doesn't need the extra money, Deion is good there. He has complete autonomy over CU program. They hired him when FSU wouldn't, Auburn (SEC right?) wouldn't...they didn't even give him an interview?!?!? Deion says he is an alum of Jackson State (where he got his degree), not FSU...they did him wrong. I think there are things that matter to Deion that you at ESPN are ignoring. And lets be honest, talking Prime is good for your clicks...so there is that too. Keep manufacturing stories.

  • @DreLBrown529

Actions speaks louder than words. Deion can continue to say that he loves Colorado and coaching the kids over and over again. But until he actually signs an extension with Colorado, these pundits are going to continue to push this idea that he’s going to the NFL after this season. Now I hear that he’s in contract extension talks with the AD of Colorado so we will see what happens. Money talks. There’s no doubt in my mind that Deion wants to stay in Colorado. But he’s not going to stay with what they are paying him right now so Colorado needs to make Deion one of the highest paid college football coaches if they truly want to keep him at Colorado.

On top of the multitude of other reasons for Prime not to leave CU mentioned below, there's also the fact that he doesn't need to stroke his ego with an NFL coaching job. Other coaches coming up see the NFL as the final destination, but Prime is already a HOFer in the NFL. He's lived that and doesn't have anything to prove in that arena.

Dallas Cowboys could become irrelevant very soon and in a hurry. Winning matters and making it to the playoffs matter to be able to be "valuable` and the way Dallas is going, Jerry could have a bigger problem than when he was trying to build a new stadium.
Having 3 big names like Dak, Lamb and Parsons, a puppet coach and a below avg GM wont cut it in today's NFL.
Heck look at the upcoming 3 yrs and recent history. Arent the Packers, Lions, 9rs, Vikings, Washington, Eagles, better positioned? I would even say put a younger QB in Seattle or Rams and they are solid. I am not even talking AFC. Jerry better figure his nonsense soon. Because 2 back to back yrs and no playoffs, look out Gerrah Jones your 10 billion dollar circus will come crumbling down sooooooon. This is sports , not oil trading buddy

Deion will do what's best for himself, his family and his players at Colorado. Although going to the NFL might be considered a move up from college, many of he current crop of existing NFL players are entitled and don;'t have the work ethic and commitment it takes to be champions. Even with Deion's ability to motivate and challenge players, a move to the NFL at this point would, IMHO, not be the right time. That being said, there's always the possibility he may follow his son into the NFL. Time will tell.
