I really enjoy your manner off speaking in your videos, you are pleasant and your scientific approach to why things cook is refreshing. Will be buying your wok soon! Keep up the great videos, my family has enjoyed the foods you've taught me to make.
@@duranfan4ever922 - yes, the same wok she uses in the video. I bought one and I really like it except the handle is just a tad loose- not a big deal though.
I've watched other RUclips Chinese cooking channels, but yours is the only one that inspires me to try the recipe, makes me salivate while watching it, and brightens my day. Your simplified, friendly approach is what makes your channel so enjoyable.
This is the all time favorite of the men in our household. Thank you. I’ve had trouble with these noodles, not being able to tell which need boiling or not. We even have this brand at one store. Thank you for helping those of us who didn’t grow up with Chinese ingredients. We actually prefer to make Chinese for 3 times a week on average.
i love your big complicated in depth recipes of classic dishes i don't see often but it's also good to see a simpler dish like this every once in awhile. either way great video, really triggered some cravings too, looks delicious.
this is one of my favorite foods to eat, when I can find a restaurant that makes it. Now I can make it myself. I have not been disappointed in any of your recipes that I have tried so far.
Amazing! I had no idea about the name and I always grew up eating this dish from Cantonese restaurants with my family. I am currently unable to find an authentic Cantonese restaurant near me so this channel helps me a whole lot!
This exactly what I've been looking for. I've eaten this in a few restaurants over the years and I love it. It has been difficult to find in many restaurants though, as they have dishes called chow mein with crispy noodles, and it turns out they use these tiny little crispy noodles that are more akin to thin potato crisps, and to me they are trash compared to these noodles.
I used your noodle cooking technique to make chicken chow mein tonight and it was amazing. The noodles taste so much better this way. I will be doing them your way from now on. Thanks for your great recipes. I love your teaching technique. You're a joy to watch.
Yum!! I love crispy fried noodles. I have tried to duplicate them but have never been successful because I never knew the correct kind of noodles to buy thank you for filling Us in on what kind of noodles we need. I will try this again and hopefully I will be successful this time. It's morning here in Canada and boy am I hungry I have not had breakfast yet now all I want is crispy noodles. Love your channel keep up the good work.
Omg, I was saying I wanted you to do this dish as I have all the ingredients 😄... Thank you, you make it so easy to follow your instructions and the food comes out great! Thanks
I just starting watching about a week ago OMG my recipes are the same or better than authentic Chinese restaurants, I am Hispanic but I cook a lot Asian dishes I think I was once from Asia from a previous reincarnation HAHAHAHA You are so beautiful inside and out. Thanks so much for helping save money as we do not visit Asian restaurant anymore. Your recipes are ALL to die for!!!! Namaste
Such a HUGE thank you for your wonderful videos, excellent teaching technique and honest ingredients!!!! After watching this video of yours, I think I can try frying the noodles. This is very challenging for me. My wok is tempered steel and is also amazing. It gives me "wok hei" !!!
I can't WAIT to make this. I buy them all the time from my fav place but it looks absolutely easy. And I can adapt the recipe to other meats Thank you so much
I’ve done this recipe and it is so good! Better than some restaurants! I replace the water with chicken broth. It is long to prepare but it is worth it. Thank you.
This looks sooo good. We don’t have any good Asian restaurants in East Tennessee so I watch all of your videos so I can make my own! Thanks again!🥕🦐🥦🥣🥟❤️
Just made this recipe, absolutely delicious! Made them with dry noodles because that’s what I had already and the veggies that I had at hand , lovely food ... thank you!
Hey mandy! I love your channel! Thanks a million for sharing all these lovely recipes! Question: Do you ever use doubanjiang in your food? Especially with szechuan style dishes Im constantly reading about it. Have a good day☺️
Hello. I am so very happy to tell you that I tried you recipe not once but twice, once with commercial crispy noodles and today tried it with Chow Mein noodles or Wonton noodles and I followed your instructions. I must say noodles turned out really tasty. Only difference was I added a bit of chilli whilst cooking the veg and seafood. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I’ve made this before and it’s very easy and oh so good! I found a few tips while watching that’ll make it even better next time. I also use a small pinch of MSG 🤫. Thanks, Mandy!
I'm not averse to MSG, but there's already lots of umami in the soy and oyster sauce as well as the mushrooms, scallops and shrimp, so I don't see a need for more. But of course make it to your own taste.
I cooked this tonight and it came out pretty similar to yours. The crunchy noodles were yummy and the prawns and scallops were soft but I thought the gravy of the stir fry was a bit boring for a dish that uses such delicate and pricey seafood like scallops. Their delicate and juicy taste was completely lost in the soy and oyster sauces. For that reason I wouldn’t make it again, at least I wouldn’t recommend making it with seafood, perhaps chicken would work better. Thanks for the recipes and videos.
I just made the noodles for lunch. It’s too much oil for me, so I used a non stick pan with two teaspoons of oil and a medium heat. Then I followed the instructions. Mmm... delicious.
I used to live in Nagasaki, Japan and always made a dish they called sara udon (translation: "plate noodles") which is basically this recipe. So glad that I finally know what kind of noodles to use to make it again! In Japan they sold little noodle packages in the grocery store that had a big brick of crispy fried noodles that were ready to go, just needed to add vegetables and protein to the included sauce and put it on top! So convenient and delicious! Too bad they don't sell them anywhere else!
Firstly, i love your channel and you have the best dan dan noodle recipe. Crispy noodles sounds great, but doesn't this taste of olive oil? Every Asian chef i've watched says use any neutral flavoured oil (usually peanut) but NEVER olive oil because the taste clashes with the flavours of Asian cuisine. I'm curious what other people think of using olive oil in Chinese recipes?

i realize it is pretty randomly asking but do anyone know of a good website to stream new series online ?

@Vance Elliott thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :) I appreciate it !

Oh wow! This dish is heaven! Those noodles are the best! My favorite noodles are in this recipe.
I love that style of noodles. I love it when the meat & veggies soak in with the sauce ❤️
I've been waiting for a recipe like this. Looks wonderful, Mandy!
Thank you and very kind of you for sharing your techniques skills and recipes 🙏🏻. .
Made this recipe yesterday and wow! Absolutely loved it!! Thank you so much for sharing. For the veg i used oyster mushrooms, carrots and broccoli.
"Just flip the noodles." Yeah that's how it will go in my kitchen. lol!
The trick is to be bold and quick. The pan can sense your fear when you go to flip.
😆
Its actually easily to do. A kid can do it
@@myothergem It was a joke

Mandy, I truly appreciate your attention to detail. I always enjoy your videos & recipes!
It tastes even better with peanut oil instead of olive oil.
love to try it later ~~
Olive oil is healthy, peanut oil is not
Yes, peanut and sunflower. Olive oil starts to smoke. So, you get it. A lite oil.
I’ve done this recipe and it is so good! Better than some restaurants! I replace the water with chicken broth. It is long to prepare but it is worth it. Thank you.
OMG...I get this dish all the time. It is my favorite. Happy Day! Now I can make it at home.
