@Dayshanthesheep it’s pretty much the only even matchup outside of elder dragons, everything else gets completely disrespected.
You do know Kronosaurus was only 10-11 meters in length or 33-36 feet in length and weighed 11000 kilograms or 23000 pounds and Mosasurus Hoffmannii was about 17-18 meters long so almost 60 feet and was slightly more than double the weight of Kronosaurus. But Kronosaurus is cooler
@@Justakilla Yes. I'm pretty well versed on marine reptiles.
I know due to people porting the models on blender the rough size of all marine reptiles in JWE2. Kronosaurus is scaled at a little over 10 meters which is about right for our current knowledge on K. queenslandicus, going by Henrique Paes somewhat dated job, that would equate to a roughly 11 ton animal (a range of 9 to 12 being pretty reasonable), mind you the estimate is very tentative since no recent skeletal reconstructions of K. queenslandicus had been created and it would very difficult to do so.
Now JWE2 Mosa is scaled at roughly 25 meters (heh), an animal that size would easily weight over 70 tons. Based on the most rigorous reconstruction of Mosasaurus hoffmani, the largest individuales were about 12 to 13 meters long (with longer estimates being based on scaling using other species of Mosaurus with very different body proportions, such as M. lemonnieri) and weighted around 8 tons though that was latter updated to somewhere between 9 and 10 tons due to some anatomical adjustements and an increased estimated density.
So in summary, Mosa was almost certainly not 16 meters long and it's weight was roughly equal or slighly lower than K. queenslandicus.

Awesome, also could you do a tylosaurus all kills, cause just in case you didn't know tylosaurus can actually kill the mosa, sadly no youtuber (except anthomnia, who found his mosasaurus dead and it said hunted by tylosaurus) has made a video on it. So if you could do that, I'd be nice.

A lot of the hunting animations feel janky. He kind of kills things in a spilt second and boom, done. Like it’s just awkward for him to grab a Lio, and just casually throw it and it’s just dead, or swallow a Icthyosaur in virtually one gulp. Compared to the massive Mosasaur who drags Plesiosaurs along in its jaws, grabs and drags a Icthosaur into its jaws to swallow, and grabs and shakes Lio’s around like a shark with seal. Animations for Krono in comparison look unreasonable quick and unsatisfying.

It’s kinda accurate to fossil evidence though. There is a plesiosaur skull and vertebrae with deep Kronosaurus bite marks that indicates it’s head was torn clean off from below, among other similar discoveries. Kronosaurus was a fast and aggressive animal that wasted no time. I don’t know about swallowing an entire ichthy in one go though lol
@@jaredhart995 Oh yeah it is, I see the intention of the animations. But they feel underwhelming, given the lack of contact and lack of impact. If you could really feel the teeth sinking in, and the sheer impact and bones breaking from a Krono rushing up on biting on a plesiosaurs neck. That would have made Krono’s animations some of the best among the marine reptiles

kronosaurus is the most unique dinosaur in the dlc the animation his behavior all of that makes him a perfect marine reptile im gonna add this marine reptile to my park no matter what and the funny about the kronosaurus is if you add a black and white skin it looks like the liopleurodon from walking with dinosaurs and it can also eat the shark feeder hope marine reptiles can do that in the future

Yeah he is unique. Kronosaurus is one of my favorite sea dinosaurs/marine reptiles, and that's because of his appearance, which looks quite cool. It's also said that Kronosaurus practically stands out from everything else in the ocean.

Mosa should have an animation where it tries to swallow krono but can only get a good bite off, and smaller aquatics should be able to pack hunt which would be cool
If they introduced Hainosaurus, Geosaurus, Metriorhynchus, etc... they could be good pack hunters.

ofc not. maybe both are pliosaurs. ok? but what about the fact that liopleurodon is the king of small aquatics, and kronosaurus is the smallest large aquatic.
It makes sense since kronosaurus cannibalised so it probably thought the lioplerodons were young kronosaurs

My biggest complain its that there its no draw outcame possebilities from fight's.
Its always a winner and loser at the end of the day.
Add draw in future updates Frontier games!
They should have added a food aggression/bully mechanic instead of having the apex predators just kill the medium sized ones
Nice to finally have a good looking pliosaur. Altho I must ask, do they ever eat from the dead animals? Cause if they don't eat from their kills then what's the point of murdering every animal in sight. Also it being able to swallow a whole ichthyosaurus is a bit far fetched. I'd be ok with it if it wasn't for the fact it swallows it starting with the tail, which would make it harder to gulp down due to the backwars pointing fins.
I don't know if marines do but pterosaurs do
If you think about it marines have the most limited space/territories of any creatures, especially considering that they would normally inhabit the open ocean. So they are FAR more in cloned to be territorial/cramped if they see another predator.
Also the design of kronosaurus should be the design of liopleurodon right, i never pictured liepleurodon as crocodilian-like.
You'd be surprised how many real life animals kill for fun homosapiens aren't the only one that hunt for fun
to eat them they have to rip off pieces of them, geuss they dont wanna do that becuz of kids

YES! Favorite marine reptile in the world added to Jurassic World Evolution 2, can feed off of Fish AND Shark Feeders (with the second one having a unique animation) AND can kill the Mosasaurus in a fight? This is a literal dream come true for me.

The mosasaurus is like 8 meters longer than the kronosaurus
If you're wondering why your dinosaurs aren't attacking, here's how:
1. Make your dinosaur
2. Set the tolerance and social genes as slow as possible
3. Give them strength or weakness depending if you want them to win fights or not.
4. Do the same as step 3 but with defensive or vulnerable.
5. Set the options to dinosaur attacks allowed.
6. enjoy
(note: some dinosaurs hate other dinosaurs and will fight/threaten that species more)
(note 2: make sure they have the aggressive trait, you can't control this)
I forgot to add: make it 100% intolerant and antisocial
5:48 In real life, the kronosaurus would've had a stronger bite than the mosasaurus. Maybe even surpassing tyrannosaurus'.
I'm pretty sure Kronosaurus had a bite force of around 33,000 psi, while Mosasaurus had a bite force of 40,000 psi. It's close though.

I just looked it up. It said that Mosasaurus had a bite force of 13,000 to 16,000 PSI. And Kronosaurus… was 33,000 PSI. That should give you an example of how powerful Kronosaurus' bite force was.
mosa not only had a stronger bite but was also far faster and had a second row on the top of its jaw to deal more damage in one bite. mosa wins against krono.
Would love to see Megalodon and Livyatan Melvillei being added

The things that happen when you ask for more teeth instead of reality
this applies to most of the aquatic roster in JWE2 too, (excluding liopleurodon, mosasaurus, tylosaurus and elasmosaurus) with a few of the accurates ones being shonisaurus, kronosaurus (as shown in the video) and icthyosaurus.
kills the immersion when they attack then just kind of wander off. what animals don’t try to protect their kill, or eat it before competition turns up?
I can see why they did that tho. The mechanics of swimming aren’t suited for that at the moment

Got several of them together with the hopes of that happening but the Krono's are not interested. Is it a comfort thing??
Koronosaurus was actually strong. But compared to the jurrasic franchise this thing would be killed by the OP un killable with 1 marine dinosaur the mousasaurus Its just unreasonable to have this guy kill everything small in a split second while the mosasaurus animations look more developed unlike the koronosaurus's attack animations whitch is why i think the early cretaceous pack should have added more development to the koronosaur's attacks and THE MOSASAUR from jurrasic world needed more than just 1 koronosaurus this thing needed atleast 2 or 3 which is why I think this guy cut when they killed things bigger than it like the mosasaur i mean you could tell me that a T - Rex beat a indominus in the game but thats based on attack genes the more attack genes you have in a dinosaur the higher chance of it winning which doesent apply to marine creatures that are big or medium that much it mostly apllies to the smaller sea creatures like the ichthiosaur or the plesiosaur somethimes the ich wins some times the ple wins. I think it would be brutaly unfair to cut that atleast show that the koronosaurus needed more than just 1 of it to kill a MOSASAURUS ecpecialy the Jurrasic World version of it. This wasnt really cool at all but basically yeah! Mousasaur is still most powerful. Ok that had to be rigged you probably increased the attack genes amount to max and left the mosasaurus at normal amount.

@Maahes The Forgotten One predator X is just partial skull estimate to maximum 2,5meters long, kronosaurus skull is over 2,8meters long. Predator X is just another overated/overestimate marine animal.

Kronosaurus is the mosas natural predator. The fact mosa is twice its size is why it can’t (and went extinct due to kronosaurus) win

Irl mosa was 17 meters
Krono was 11 meters and still killed them off
Jurassic park mosa is 21 meters
By looking at Krono it’s about 15 meters in length.
They are the same difference as they were irl. Krono is still its predator because it’s smaller
@@splitdragon3004 I don't know what you're saying, Kronosaurus and Mosasaurus lived on different cretaceous periods, separed by millions of years. The kronosaurus didn't make the Mosa went extinct. Also I don't get why Tylosaur (which is slightly smaller than the kronosaur) wouldn't kill the mosasaur as easily as him when they're both smaller than the mosasaur anyways
