Oh man, this looks like such a great ride! I was lucky enough to grab a 21ah battery in this last shipment. I live in NYC so of course I don’t have quite the same freedom of hills and valleys, but I’m looking forward to putting the range to the test. I’m 145lbs so hopefully I get a good long ride out of it. Thanks for the video. 👍🏽😃
@@Evilryu4005 so, I would actually stay away from the zugo. Its pretty much the 2019 version of the d class minus the motor. These had issues with the battery bouncing and bending pins. Colorado?!?! I was born in the Denver area. Moved when I was super young in the late 80s. Don’t remember anything about Colorado. I have not been back since.
When you are pedaling at high speeds is it just for show? the high gears aren't very high for me and its useless to pedal past 15 miles an hour. That and no rear suspension are the only issues I have with this wonderful bike.
Pedaling stops at around 24 mph for me. I pedal all the time because it makes me feel super human. I'll only use throttle uphill, on starts, and when I feel lazy. But I love passing cars while pedaling, you get the best looks
Then something is wrong with my gearing. After 15 mph pedaling for me is like pushing against air. I had to fix the derailer to get into 7th and that helped a bit. I’ll keep looking. Thanks for the reply. And dude. I love ur vids. Simple and some beautiful paths. Pedaling also lowers cops suspicion in regards to class types.
@@arrider5774 last question. After I do the 1919 speed adjust up to 45 my bike still sticks to 33. Is there another step to it or does my 200 lbs slow it down?
@@dirkaminimo4836 when my bike was shipped my derailleur guard was bent and it wasn't going into 7th. I bent it back and watched a youtube vid on how to readjust it. Super easy, 20 min
@@dirkaminimo4836 yea weight will do that. But I think 33-35 mph is the most you can get without changing electrical components. My buddy that rides with me is heavier than I am and I notice I accelerate faster and I'm like 1.5 mph faster than him
Yea it was SUPER windy. I spent the whole time editing, adjusting the volume. Honestly shouldn't have been out with all the smoke and wind but I just wanted to go out and ride. Thanks for checking out the video
AR Rider I’m loving my bike. Went out yesterday for a long ride yesterday and got 30 miles on my 18ah. That was a combo of rear motor, dual, and pedal assist. Great bike! Totally agree about anything that allows you to ride longer.
It's a gopro 8. I film at 1080p 60fps and use the widest FOV. Thanks for taking notice. I also use a chest mount instead of head mount because, IMO, it makes viewers less motion sick.
So ariel rider just told me that they will restock the 21ah batteries for the D and sell them for 650 plus shipping. I'm torn because I want the grizzly but it's $600 more than the D after taxes, plus I'd need to spend the $90 on the longer seat because I'm tall. So idk if the rear suspension and the dual 1000w batteries is worth the initial price. I'd only be riding 15miles round trip regularly, and I can eventually save up and get a spare battery for the D and have more range than a grizzly for when I take longer trips. What's your thoughts on this?
If you buy 1 21ah battery you'll have more range than the grizzly. It really all comes down to if you need that rear suspension. I found that my riding style doesn't benefit from having the rear suspension. I can stand on the pedals and have a nice commanding stance. I try to grab a battery any chance I get. Also, no real difference between 48 and 52v when you have 2 motors. No suspension in the back is going to feel sporty because the suspension on grizzly is just "ok"
Double the acceleration is nice. Climbing the gravel trails in the mountains is nice. Great for super soft terrain like sand. Also, sharing the load increases longevity in the motors.
I just received my D-Class and was going thru the settings. The wheel size was defaulted to 24. Should I change it to 20? And when I do change if to 20, will that mess up the mph readings? Thanks
I would use GPS. I switched to 20 in wheel size and was getting funky stuttering. Messaged AR and they asked me to switch back and I didn't have the issue anymore.
Everything is stock on this bike. Its max assisted speed is 35mph. Anytime you see me doing more than that it's because I'm going down hill. The bike feels so stable at 40 though.
