All I was thinking all through that race was, did you build both these engines? as you could not get a closer race if you tried! It was interesting to see the slight difference in driving styles where you caught up on both the down hill and uphill sections and he had the slightest of advantage on the flat!
hi andy im running a ginetta g15 in the u s a with a so called c r gearbox ,but i noticed that you when shifting lost between 1500 and 2000between shift are you using a dog box , i loose nearly 3 k so the motor bogs in top , just trying to get some info , cheers
Jeez, you two were really having at it! Thoight you got by twice only for the other imp to fly back into shot. Engine sounds horny, but should those downshifts sound so harsh?
@@johnmoncrieff3034 its called defensive driving , blocking , the second could catch the first every time even when the mustamg got by, and you cant call moving across the track on corner entry the racing line , imps are tail happy , by the way i have raced at cadwell since 1966 up to 2003 , i woul still be racing there if i hadnt made a stupid move to the u s a

Enjoyed this so much I had to watch it again. - I've been to Cadwell a number of times over the years, although that was for the bikes!

Yeah...Jack Knight 4 speed CR dog box. A 5 speed was also available and a wide range of ratios to suit all circuits.

Thos Imps need a little more horsepower and probably weight over the drive wheels. Add bigger brakes and they would catch those Mustangs!
