Man Says He Visited Heaven, Met Jesus During Near-Death Experience

- Randy Kay's "afterlife" experience still leaves him visibly emotional as he recounts details of visiting heaven, meeting Jesus, and returning to share his harrowing journey. Kay, author of the book, "Heaven Stormed: A Heavenly Encounter Reveals Your Assignment in the End Time Outpouring and Tribulation," told CBN News he was once a denier of near-death experience claims - until he faced his own purported heaven journey.
He recalled his own afterlife experience, which began with a sore calf. At first, he thought he had strained a muscle, but while working out and going on a bike ride, his calf began to swell. "I was able to make it back home and then went to the doctor to get an anti-inflammatory prescription, and lo and behold, when I pressed my heel into the floor as the doctor had suggested, I collapsed," Kay said. "And I was rushed to the emergency room."
It turns out, the pain and swelling were due to seven blood clots that had formed. He then contracted Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), a drug-resistant bacteria. "The doctor said I was a walking dead man," Kay said. "And then the septic shock which entered into my body caused a traffic jam in my vessels, my vascular system." The chaos landed Kay in a dire situation - one that he believes sent him to heaven.
"Everything went dark initially and the next moment of recall, I was looking down on my body," he said. "I was being pulled by this light. I know that sounds cliche, almost, but it's absolutely true." Kay continued, "I was in a kind of very vague, ethereal space initially where I saw these figures in front of me, and they were warring against each other. There's no other way of putting it." After his return from his after-death experience, Kay discerned he was watching spiritual warfare play out. Regardless of what people choose to believe, Kay's physical body was dead at this point, making these memories and claims quite fascinating.
"My heart had stopped," he said, noting that hospital records indicate he was clinically dead for 30 minutes and 49 seconds. During that time, Kay believes he was experiencing heaven, noting he was aware that her was himself but suddenly was seeing and visualizing the world quite differently. "I was seeing things, hearing things beyond which I would be able to do otherwise in my body," he said.

I, also, had an NDE. Believe me, Jesus is very real and He is the only way to get saved and be bound for Heaven.
I believe SCRIPTURE when it says that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one can come to the Father except through Him. (John 14:6)
EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue will **joyfully** confess (exmologeo) that Jesus Christ is Lord.
I studied science. I know a few scientists. I am afraid to say even though this man died for a few seconds! He only experienced seeing Jesus because even though he died he was still in a dream state because his brain was still functioning. When everything dies and shuts down even the brain then death really happens.

16 years ago my father had a near death experience after his second heart bypass. He saw his body from above the room and saw what the doctors & nurses were doing. He went to heaven and saw unimaginable things that don't exist here on our earth. Especially colors and love that was beyond comprehension. He heard a voice say you have to go back now and he did not want to leave. After his recovery he accepted the Lord and we witnessed him talking with him and how overwhelmed he was. It was so beautiful. He accepted the lord that day. I will never forget that day. He went into depression for a long time because he did not want to return to earth. We are so happy he is with the Lord and my mom and we will see him again.

My dad had bypass surgery in 1974 and saw his body being worked on by doctors and nurses. His back was touching the ceiling while he watched them. He was resuscitated and lived another 20 years.

@Rick-xq9iv Sorry to intrude, but biblically speaking, we don't. Hebrews 9:27 says it is appointed unto man once to die, and then the judgement. There are people who have had experiences with "reincarnation", but they have had a visitation to a different realm that is demonic - still looks pretty and all sorts of spirits there masquerading as Jesus or other types of people like saints or deceased family. But the message is different from what the Bible says, which is how the believer in Christ measures all things. Hope you don't mind me answering.

I had an out of body (unknown if I was near death) experience during suicide attempt in the woods. I know I was at least unconscious. I had gone into severe depression and had lost my faith. In my experience I saw neither heaven nor hell. I was looking down on my body and could see myself clearly, even though it may have been night time by then. I saw my body decay in what seemed a second, until I saw my skeleton lying there. Then in another second I saw my body build back up. Then I woke to an EMT trying to revive me or wake me up. Days later, my mom said she had a chilling dream that night that seemed so real to her, of a little girl just standing before her at a distance, just looking at her. I believe my soul was trying to send my mom a message for help. I have since renewed my faith in and love of Jesus and repented of my suicide attempt. Thank you, sir, for sharing your experience. "The Reluctant Witness" would be a great name for his story! A few years ago I began having clusters of days in which I cried so deeply that I would be heaving, like I never had before, even though I am an emotional person and tears come easily. After about the third episode, I called my pastor and I described what would happen and asked why would I do this, did he think I was depressed? He immediately said, That is what the bible means by deep calls to deep, it was the Holy Spirit living in me longing to be back in heaven with the Father and the Son. Wow. I know a man in Christ, who, fourteen years ago - whether he was in the body, I do not know; if he was out of the body, I don't know, God knows-he was caught up in the third heaven. I know that this man-whether he was in the body or whether he was out of the body, I do not know, God knows-was caught up into Heaven and heard things that cannot be expressed in words, things that are not permitted to man to say. . Yes, the Apostle Paul was not permitted to speak about it. The Apostle John was permitted to write the things he saw and heard in the book of Revelation. All these modern stories are not on par with Scripture. There's no reason to believe them.

Jesus is real, he loves us so much, he has so much for us, he can't wait for us to be with him, and he is making a place for those of us who have committed ourselves to him. It's not believing an nde that gets you into heaven, thankfully...it's believing in Jesus Christ.

Dear Bruce,
I beg you to find a friend that has given their life to Jesus. Have a conversation with them. Listen to them. Then ask almighty God to open your heart to Him. Jesus weeps in Heaven as he looks down at souls that are still lost.
A lot of folk do see heaven n Jesus. It's a place of blessing for every Christian. When He was in our realm for 33 years Jesus talked about people He chooses to reveal the Father to. But Paul saw the fullness of our place in Christ in 2 Corinthians 12 vs 1 through 5. To consider yourself dead to sin and alive unto God takes raw faith.
It's true, I had similar experience 3 days ago and how the Lord led me to do spiritual battle. Out of the body within 15 minutes. I was touching her hands calling her to pray but she wasn't hearing me in the bedroom. I saw my body on the bed but was standing before I went outside

You can simply try to validate if his experience was genuine by ascertaining if 1. It aligns with what Scripture says 2. The motive of it all....is it merely self-seeking or does it point to honor and glorify the Reality of Jesus Christ above all. 3. Are people drawn more to Jesus Christ or to Randy more as a by-product of his testimony? -- Genuine fruit always creates a longing more for Jesus above all....and not to a human personality.

Do you think there is deception involved in these experiences?
Yes. Without a doubt, some spiritual experience are deceptions. An nde is a spiritual glimpse, usually only just enough to get the person out of trauma and back onto what is their best path. If a person says they just saw light and felt love, that is no assurance they met angels or was with God during the spiritual experience. For this person's experience, it does sound truthful and his recounting of being with Jesus is fully plausible. But remember, these are trauma induced glimpses only (often from drugs or near death type illnesses or accidents). Once main stream media gets around to presenting life-long meditational experiencers and not just the more "bizarre" and trauma induced glimpses into Spirit, more information will be released, regarding discernment. Discernment is verging on judgment, so it's not something I suggest anyone spend a lot of time with. For right now, they want there to be a level of confusion and debate because those are best for the monetary gains which they seek. I suggest to people, this world is about you, don't be concerned so much about them. And anyone can find Truth and even establish The Relationship with their Creator, The Creator - the only requirement is that they are still living and willing. Read Matthew 7-7 to 7-12.

Wow. April 2, 2005 is the day that Pope John Paul II died. I remember that day very well. So sad for me, as a lifelong Catholic who only really had JPII as my (beloved) pope. I wonder if that detail has any bearing? So interesting how Jesus is all about us, each individually, all the time, in each moment, for each person on earth, those that are becoming, are living, and are dying; that is a very mysterious aspect of the Lord.

My brother who was ill since age 6 when about 19 had died 5x for over half an hour. He ended up in a big field where he walked syraifht to a river. There were cloaked people he knew he had know in previous lives. They told him it was not his time and had to return. As he had suffered all his life he argued but they were insistant. He did't come back as a veg. as doctor said but he came back smarter. But hearing he had not completed what he had to do, he spent life wondering what it was.
He died this yr at 67 and was the longest living transplant patient by 35 plus yrs. Aethiest doctor said "There must be a God because we can't understand why he is alive." Maybe that was his purpose to show doctors life and death is not up to them.
My visitation was in a dream.

@@juliecramer8459 You can not quote Hebrews 9-27 if you don't first define which "death" it is talking about. Do you believe it is talking about death of the body, or do you believe it is talking about death of the spirit? Taking a single verse without context can be very unclear. The Bible is a context document from God. It's not the Words of God - it is the Word of God. Without full context a person can be confused because many passages will have two or more meanings or will be unclear without context. There is a quote from Jesus about "buying a sword" but many people take that verse out of context, whereas if you read the few lines above that verse, it becomes clear Jesus was using sarcasm.
For 9-27, you will need to be clear with your belief, because I don't know which death you believe you are talking about? ....

But it was his parting testimony to his own disciplines at his ascension that he wouldn't be seen again till he came again,( his appearing at his second coming).
People who claim to have seen or met Jesus are surely contradicting him.
Did this man go to heaven but not see the risen Lord in all his glory.?
According to the claims of people having had a near death experience, multiple people have indeed seen Jesus in recent years.
According to you, Stephen, Annias, Paul, John, along others in ACTS and the epistles are *surely contradicting him*
