She says she regrets coming to America, yet here they are. She didn’t mention any plans to return to Venezuela.
After Biden has given their country more than a Billion dollars their government is encouraging them to go to the U.S. The billion dollars went to the Cartel, corrupt government officials and the Chinese. Many towns in Venezuela are empty. They have no intent of working. But given a choice between Venezuelans and Ecuadorians take the Venezuelans they're a lot smarter.

I think the moral of this story is that a lot of people don't realize how hard life is in the US. A lot of people come here from other countries and are shocked by how expensive just going outside is here.
fr, we have access to buy lots of expensive things but are upcharged nearly 80% compared to other countries. That’s the scam of america, we have more money so companies take more. you can’t enter the us economy with a low income and expect everything to be ok, we get charged buckets more than other countries but look all prosperous because of being able to afford them. it’s just inflation at this point really and have so many issues that the cost of immigration is starting to outweigh the benefits for the first time. not an immigrant so just my perspective tho, still young and don’t have much say in the matter :)
That's definitely part of it. The US has a myth and mystique associated with it, and they probably know people or know of people that came to the US. In reality, the US is its own special kind of shit hole country, and there's an abundance of really shitty people here to boot.

I’m not trying to be a dick, but America has treated you guys better than some of very our own citizens who are on the street mentally ill and homeless.
You had free transportation, access to healthcare, housing accommodations, you have a phone and clothes on your back. My heart really goes out to those fleeing dangerous situations, but the way some of these migrants have been behaving in the hotels in NYC and Chicago has been awful (drugs, throwing away perfectly good food, trashing the rooms, etc.) It shows that you’re ungrateful for the aid that has been extended to you, and you’re going to ruin it for everyone else who desperately needs it.

If you "escape" from Venezuela then the first country you arrive in is where you claim refugee status. You can't just decide to go to the US. That's called immigration and there are applications required and a procedure to follow.

The crazy thing is most of the people who come to the US to seek asylum or a better life and are super ungrateful and expect everything handed to them are South/Central Americans. My grandparents came to US and had to start from the bottom and from nothing and worked their way up to build something for themselves and our family. The audacity when they’re in Mexico waiting to cross and are super disrespectful to the locals who feed them and help in any way they can just to complain about them being fed beans, rice, and tortilla or as they call it “dirty food” “poor food” ??? 🤨…. like do you realize the conditions YOURE coming from. As an American solidly in the middle class, crazy to me they complain about being fed rice, beans, and tortillas. These are by far my family’s favorite foods, a staple for sure. We always joke that our palate comes from south of the border 😂, but to me, nothing is better than a tortilla, rice, and beans. 🤷♀️
My grand parents as well. A long few months trip on a freightliner. I was told many people died on the way over and than they had to pass a physical and many got sent back. They lived in a cold water flat on the thirteenth floor. That's no hot water or heat and climb thirteen flights of stairs. One bathroom for the entire floor of families at the end of the hall. They were uneducated but hard working and managed to move from NYC to NJ and buy a very small home with a bit of land. That is where they were when the great depression hit and my grandmother had to quit school in the fourth grade to work full time in a factory. There was no such thing as welfare back than. Never once had I heard one complaint ever from my grandmother RIP; she cried when I, her first born female grandchild enlisted and took the oath for the United States Air Force. That's who built this country.

The shear gall of this women is astronomical!!! Half of my family immigrated legally to the US in 1978 after going through the whole visa process and showing that they could support themselves. In addition, my older brother´s wife is from Asia. She was college educated and had corporate experience, but it still took 1.5 years to work through the visa process. She has now been in the US for almost ten years and would slap the taste out of this young lady´s mouth for behaving this way.
